En route, you'll hike into deep corners of the mountains, past secluded villages that serve as great vantage points to view the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar mountain ranges of the Himalayas. Destination

Kareri Lake is a high-altitude lake located at almost 9,250 feet high in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh. The lake, marked by sprawling forests of oak, pine and rhododendron on all sides, is a popular destination for travellers looking for a short trek in the Himalayas. With beautiful views of snow-clad mountain peaks in the Dhauldhar range, the vast expanse of the lake and its surrounding grounds make for a picturesque campsite. This shallow, fresh water lake often freezes over in the months of winter as the temperature drops to sub-zero levels.
