    Destination

A small hill fort located in close proximity to Lonavala, the Korigad Fort stands at an elevation of 3,000 feet atop the mountains of the Western Ghats. Even though the fort is believed to be centuries old, many walls and edifices of the fort remain standing even today. In the months of monsoon, the forests encroach over the fort and cover these walls with greenery. In these months, the fort becomes a popular destination with trekking enthusiasts due to easy accessibility with a series of over 510 steps carved into the mountainside.
