    Korigad Night Trek

    On this night trek to Korigad, you’ll trek through dense forests at night, catch a golden sunrise from atop the Korigad Fort and admire the beautiful rolling hills of the Sahyadri mountain ranges. At the crack of dawn, you’ll begin a 1-km trek and reach Korigad just in time to catch a beautiful sunrise. At the fort, you can also visit the Koraidevi temples, two small monsoon-fed lakes and the old ruins of cannons and broken walls. Catch views of a gorgeous landscape dominated by the forest-covered mountains of the Western Ghats.

    A perfect trek for fit beginners as well as experienced trekkers, this trek is a great way to add some excitement to your weekend.

    Destination

    A small hill fort located in close proximity to Lonavala, the Korigad fort stands at an elevation of 3,000 feet atop the mountains of the Western Ghats. Even though the fort is believed to be centuries old, many walls and edifices of the fort remain standing even today. In the months of monsoon, the forests encroach over the fort and cover these walls with greenery. The fort remains a popular destination with trekkers due to easy accessibility with a series of over 510 steps carved into the mountainside.

    Korigad Night Trek Photos

    Report at the Pritam Da Dhaba in Dadar East by 23:00 hrs. From here, you'll be picked up in private vehicles and driven to the base village of Peth Shahpur. En route, there will be other pick-up points at the Chembur Diamond Garden at 23:30 hrs, below the main bridge near Vashi Plaza at 00:00 hrs and at the McDonald's in Kalamboli at 00:30 hrs. Overnight in transit.

    Your pick up point is from the Pritam Da Dhaba in Dadar East by 23:00 hrs. From here you'll be driven to Peth Shahpur by private vehicle. En route, there will be pick ups from the Chembur Diamond Garden at 23:30 hrs, at Vashi, below the main bridge near Vashi Plaza at 00:00 hrs and lastly at the McDonalds in Kalamboli at 00:30 hrs. No meals are provided today, so make sure to eat dinner before reporting at the pick-up point.

    You will reach Peth Shahpur in a few hours and wait for the crack of dawn in your vehicles. By 04:00 hrs, you'll begin your a 1-km trek to the top of Korigad. You'll reach just in time to catch a beautiful sunrise from the top. After some time at the fort, you'll begin descending back to Peth Shahpur. You'll board the vehicle and begin your journey back to Mumbai. You'll reach Dadar by 12:00 hrs. Your trip ends here.

    You'll reach Peth Shahpur and wait in your vehicles till 04:00 hrs, when you'll begin trekking. Toilet facilities are available only at Peth Shahpur. Today's meal package includes breakfast served after returning from Korigad Fort. Your trip ends as you travel back to Mumbai and arrive at Dadar by 12:00 hrs.

    The tour operator reserves the right to cancel or alter the itinerary of the Korigad night trek to maximize the safety of travellers as well as staff.

    Travellers will be required bear any additional costs arising due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, road blocks etc.
