Beginning at a small base village near the foothills of the Western Ghats, you'll embark on an easy, 1-hr trek to Korigad Fort that will take you through rich greenery layered over rock-strewn hills. Your route will take you over 510 steps carved into the mountain side to reach the pinnacle of Korigad Fort. At the top of Korigad, you’ll explore the old ruins of the fort and visit its newly renovated Koraidevi Temple and other smaller temples of Vishnu and Shiva.

The Korigad Fort is a steep hill fort that was built by Shivaji Maharaj in the 15th century. Located in the midst of the foothills of Western Ghats at an elevation of 3,028 feet, the fort of Korigad is accessible via 510 steps carved into the mountain side. After making your way to the top, Korigad Fort offers breathtaking views of surrounding hills and valleys. With old ruins, pillars, walls and cannons decorating your route to Korigad Fort, you’ll take a trip down history as you explore the lush greenery and dense forests.

Arrive at the Lonavala railway station at 08:30 hrs. Here, you'll board shared vehicles and head towards the base village near Peth Shahpur. After a short, scenic drive, you'll arrive at the base village and have breakfast over a briefing session and a round of introductions. Begin the trek to Korigad Fort and climb uphill on trails surrounded by patches of lush greenery and the cooing of birds in tall trees. You'll climb through about 510 steps to reach the fort and explore the ancient temples of Koraidevi, Vishnu and Shiva as well as visit the nearby lakes. By afternoon, you'll make your way back to the base village to have lunch. Travel back to Lonavala railway station and arrive by late afternoon. Your trip ends here.

Today's meal package includes breakfast, lunch and evening snacks. Breakfast will be served at the base village before beginning the trek. You'll return back to the base village for lunch. Evening refreshments will also be served.
