    Combine the adrenaline-rush of rafting in the Zanskar River and trekking in Leh with an action-packed road trip across Ladakh. Travelling on rough roads in the mountains, you'll visit historic monuments like the Shey Palace and the Shanti Stupa, where you'll admire Ladakh's unique Indo-Tibetan culture and the Buddhist artwork.

    A major highlight of this adventure is thrilling session of white-water rafting on the grade III rapids of the Zanskar River. Before the adventure ends, you’ll also embark on a short day trek from Leh to explore the nearby model village of Saboo. All along, you’ll be accompanied by absolutely stunning views of Ladakh’s rugged and barren mountains and snow peaks.

    Ladakh, also called the ‘land of high passes’, is a celebrated, adventure travel destination full of snow-capped peaks and grey mountain slopes. On this road trip, you’ll travel deep into these mountains on curving, narrow roads and mountains passes, visiting fascinating towns from Hunder to Leh. At each little town, you'll spot a monastery with fluttering prayer flags in the wind, a symbol of Ladakh's strong Buddhist traditions.

    After a day spent outdoors, you’ll sleep for the night in comfortable hotels and guesthouses. At the Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake, large and cosy tents will be set-up for you under the starlit night sky.

  • Day 1 of the Ladakh road trip: Arrive in Leh

    Land at the Leh Airport. A representative of the tour operator will greet you at the airport and escort you to a hotel. Spend your first day at leisure after a long flight. It is recommended that you do not exert yourself too much today and take the time to rest and relax in your hotel room. This is to help your body acclimatize to Leh's higher altitude. Overnight in a hotel at Leh.

    Overnight in Hotel Kanishka, Palace View Guesthouse or similar at Leh.

    Land in Leh and spend the day at leisure. Today's meal package includes dinner only, but you may pick up some lunch at the hotel or while exploring the city at your own expense. You'll be accommodated in a hotel at Leh.

    For cancellations made more than 30 days before departure of the Ladakh road trip: 75% refund.

    For cancellations made 20-30 days before departure of the Ladakh road trip: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 20 days before departure of the Ladakh road trip: no refund.

    In case of no show: no refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the tour guide at all times during the Ladakh road trip.

    Consumption of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited during the Ladakh road trip. Consumption of tobacco products and cigarettes is not recommended.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    Please note that the Ladakh Inner Line permit, required to visit Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake, is not included in the package. The tour operator will help you in obtaining this permit once you're in Leh.

    Please note that rafting in Leh is a water-dependant activity. The tour operator will not be responsible for a cancellation in the rafting activity due to unsuitable or insufficient water conditions.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure the safety of travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap, accident or loss of life or property during the Ladakh road trip.

    The tour operator reserves the right to cancel or alter the itinerary of the Ladakh road trip to ensure maximum safety for travellers as well as staff. Any costs arising from such a change in itinerary are borne by the travellers.

    During this Ladakh road trip, travellers will visit destinations at altitudes from 11,400 ft to 17,200 ft and may experience altitude sickness.

    Ladakh is located at an altitude with no internet connectivity and moderate road access/availability of services. Travellers are advised to take such circumstances under consideration before booking the trip.
