    Immerse yourself in the rustic beauty of Nepal's Langtang National Park and spend a week exploring deeper trails in the Langtang Valley. With gorgeous views of the Langtang Lirung and the Yala Peak, you'll trek alongside the gushing Langtang Khola River, past small villages of local natives. Trekking on stone-paved mountain trails, you'll explore dense jungles of oak, pine and rhododendron, teeming with chirping birds and alpine wildlife. After a day spent outdoors, you'll stay in teahouses, run by local Tamang and Sherpa families, that give you an insight into traditional Buddhist culture.

    NOTE: A minimum of 2 travellers are required to book this trek to Langtang Valley. All prices in this package are subject to fluctuations based on international currency exchange rates at the time of booking. 

    Destination

    Located near the national border of Nepal and Tibet, the Langtang Valley follows the twists and turns of the gushing Langtang Khola River. With imposing, snow-capped mountains on either side, the valley extends from the gateway village of Syabrubesi to the glaciers of Kyangin Gompa. The Langtang National Park that covers the valley is home to several exotic and endangered and exotic birds and animals, including the Himalayan black bear, the Himalayan tahr and the red panda.

    Rules on the trip

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the trek leader during the Langtang Valley trek.

    Consumption of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited during the trek. Consumption of tobacco products like cigarettes is not recommended.

    Cancellation policy

    All cancellations made after booking the Langtang Valley trek: no refund.

    In case of no show: no refund.

    Instead of cancelling the initial booking, travellers may use the booking amount to book any alternate trek with the tour operator. This offer is valid for a period of one year after the initial booking, and may be subject to a transfer fee.

    Instead of the cancelling the initial booking, travellers may transfer their spot to another eligible traveller as well.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    It is mandatory for travellers to obtain complete adventure travel insurance, covering personal accident, medical expenses and emergency evacuation charges.

    Travellers from outside Nepal are requested to carry enough cash in the local currency to cover any personal or incidental expenses.

    The tour operator reserves the right to alter or cancel the itinerary of this Langtang Valley trek due to any unforeseen circumstances to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff. Costs arising due to such a change in itinerary are borne by the traveller.

  • Day 1 of the Langtang trek: Arrive in Kathmandu

    Arrive in Kathmandu. A representative of the tour operator will greet you at the airport and escort you to a hotel in the city. You can spend the rest of the day at leisure. Explore the city of Kathmandu and visit the local marketplace to shop for any last minute essentials. In the evening, you'll meet your trek leader for a short briefing session to discuss the itinerary, gear and weather for your upcoming trek. Overnight in a hotel at Kathmandu.

    Day 2 of the Langtang trek: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi

    Early in the morning, you'll board a state transport bus from Kathmandu and travel to the town of Syabrubesi. This remote town, on the edge of the Langtang National Park, is accessible via an 8-hr drive past countryside Nepal. In the evening, you can explore the town and take a walk past the local shops and houses to warm up for tomorrow's trek. Overnight in a tea-house at Syabrubesi.

    Day 3 of the Langtang trek: Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel

    Begin the first day of your Langtang trek by making your way over a well-established trail from Syabrubesi. The route, passing alongside the Langtang Khola River, will meander across dense forests with scenic views of higher mountains in the Langtang valley. You'll also trek past small hillside villages with shops and eateries, where you can stop to catch your breath. Moving past the villages and resting at vantage points overlooking the gushing river, you'll arrive the town of Lama Hotel. Overnight in a tea-house at Lama Hotel.

    Day 4 of the Langtang trek: Lama Hotel to Langtang Valley

    A pleasant hike past beautiful landscapes is in store for today's trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang. The route, presenting a few challenging sections of climbing, will also take you past plush forests where you can spot fluttering birds and alpine animals. After trekking and gaining altitude for much of the day, you'll arrive at the namesake village of Langtang. Overnight in a tea-house at Langtang.

    Day 5 of the Langtang trek: Langtang Valley to Kyangin Gompa

    As you continue trekking deeper into the Langtang Valley, you'll grab spectacular views of snow-capped mountains like the Langtang Lirung and the Yala Peak. The trail from Langtang to Kyangin Gompa, alongside the ever present Langtang Khola River, will take you past several small villages that are home to the local Tamang and Sherpa villages. Kyangin Gompa, your destination for the day, is a small village surrounded by towering brown and green mountains with peaks hidden by clouds. Overnight in a tea-house at Kyangin Gompa.

    Day 6 of the Langtang trek: Day at Kyangin Gompa

    Spend the day at leisure at Kyangin Gompa. You can visit the local monastery in the village or even the local cheese factory at Kyangin. You can also trek to a nearby vantage point offering panoramic views of Himalayan mountains of the Langtang Valley. Alternatively, you can also spend the day resting at your tea-house. Overnight in a tea-house at Kyangin Gompa.

    Day 7 of the Langtang trek: Kyangin Gompa to Lama Hotel

    Begin the return trek from Kyangin Gompa and make your way back to Lama Hotel. The route, mostly involving a downhill trek, is relatively easy in intensity but takes longer to complete. You can take your time and stop to rest and click photos at vantage points offering views of the gorgeous landscape. Overnight in a tea-house at Lama Hotel.

    Day 8 of the Langtang trek: Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi

    The last day of your trek in the Langtang Valley will take you back to Syrabrubesi. You'll exit the Langtang National Park and bid farewell to the mountains. Overnight in a tea-house at Syabrubesi.

    Day 9 of the Langtang trek: Syabrubesi to Kathmandu

    You'll board the state transport bus from Syabrubesi and travel back to Kathmandu. The 8-hr drive will take you away from the mountains and over the highways of Nepal, past small towns and villages. In the evening, you'll celebrate the end of the trek with a farewell dinner at a popular restaurant in Kathmandu with traditional dance and music. Overnight in a hotel at Kathmandu.

    Day 10 of the Langtang trek: Depart from Kathmandu

    Check-out of the hotel and avail a transfer service back to the Kathmandu Airport. Your trip ends here.

  • Day 1 of the Langtang trek: Arrive in Kathmandu

    Overnight in a hotel at Kathmandu.

    Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your place of accommodation. You'll be accommodated at Hotel Thamel Park or similar in Kathmandu on twin-sharing basis. No meals are provided today, but you can visit any of the restaurants in Kathmandu and have meals at your own expense. Make sure to carry enough cash in the local currency to cover personal and incidental expenses.

    Day 2 of the Langtang trek: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi

    Overnight in a tea-house at Syabrubesi.

    Travel from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi in a state transport bus. Today's meal package includes breakfast and dinner only. You can have lunch at your own expense when the bus stops around noon. You'll be accommodated in a basic tea-house at Syabrubesi on twin/multi-sharing basis. While the tour operator will try to arrange for stay in twin-sharing rooms, this may not always be possible. In such cases, stay will be on multi-sharing basis with your fellow trekkers.

    Day 3 of the Langtang trek: Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel

    Trek from Syabrubesi and Lama Hotel. Today's meal package includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. All meals will be served from the tea-house menu where accommodation will also be provided. You'll be accommodated in a basic tea-house at Lama Hotel on twin/multi-sharing basis.

    Day 4 of the Langtang trek: Lama Hotel to Langtang Valley

    Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang. Today's meal package includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. You'll be accommodated in a basic tea-house at Langtang on twin/multi-sharing basis. Most tea-house rooms will come with a bed, blanket and bed sheet.

    Day 5 of the Langtang trek: Langtang Valley to Kyangin Gompa

    Trek from Langtang to Kyangin Gompa. Today's meal package includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. You'll be accommodated in a basic tea-house at Kyangin Gompa on twin/multi-sharing basis. Most travellers bring their own sleeping bags to use during overnight stay in the tea-house, but the tour operator can provide you with one as well.

    Day 6 of the Langtang trek: Day at Kyangin Gompa

    Spend the day at Kyangin Gompa. Today's meal package includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. You'll be accommodated in a basic tea-house at Kyangin Gompa on twin/multi-sharing basis. Most tea-house accommodations have common washrooms that are shared by all guests at the tea-house.

While non-vegetarian options will be available, travellers are advised to stay away from them for concerns of health and safety.
