    Every biking enthusiast dreams about riding his or her bike through the stunning settings of Leh. This 8 day Leh motorbiking trip takes you through the most gorgeous routes, giving you plenty of time to explore it. You'll visit local sightseeing spots in Leh, like Shanti Stupa, Leh palace, and the monasteries of Thiksey and Hemis. After that, you'll head out to epxlore the moon-like landscapes of Lamayuru, the sand dunes of Nubra Valley, and of course, Pangong Lake.

    Please note that price displayed is the per person price for a booking for one motorbike rider and one pillion rider. An additional refundable, security deposit of INR 10,000 per motorbike, not included in the cost displayed, is to be paid directly to the tour operator.

    Destination

    This Leh motorbiking trip takes you through the dramatic landscape of Ladakh, set in the Jammu and Kashmir region. You'll spend two days in Leh, visiting the Leh Palace and Stok Palace, Hemis and Thiksey monasteries, and Shanti Stupa. Soon, you'll ride into Lamayuru, also known as the moonland, thanks to its unearthly landscape. You'll visit the monasteries of Alchi and Likir, and stop at Magnetic Hill. For any biker, getting to Khardung La, the highest motorable pass in the world, is one of the highlights of this trip.

    Rules on the trip

    The motorbike rider as well as the pillion rider is required to wear a helmet at all times while riding the motorbike. A safety helmet will be provided to all travellers by the tour operator.

    Travellers are required to carry a valid, govt-issued photo ID card and a valid driver's licence.

    Travellers are required to follow all instructions of the road captain during the Ladakh motorbiking trip.

    Consumption of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited during the trip. Travellers suspected of intoxication will not be allowed to participate in the trip.

    Cancellation policy

    For cancellations made more than 30 days before departure of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: 75% refund.

    For cancellations made 29-15 days before departure of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made 14-7 days before departure of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: 30% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 7 days before departure of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: no refund.

    In case of show: no refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    Travellers will be required to pay a refundable, security deposit of INR 10,000 per motorbike. Any major damage or loss to the motorbike and use of any spare parts will be deducted from the security deposit. This deposit is payable directly to the tour operator and any disputes involving the deposit will be settled between the tour operator and the traveller.

    If any traveller wishes to exit the tour mid-way for any medical or personal reasons, an additional charge of transporting the motorbike from the leaving point to the end point will be applicable.

    The tour operator reserves the right to alter or cancel the itinerary of this Ladakh motorbiking trip due to any unforeseen circumstances to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff. Costs arising due to such a change in itinerary will be borne by the traveller.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

  • Day 1 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Arrive in Leh

    Arrive in Leh and spend the day acclimatizing to the high altitudinal climate. You'll be picked up at the airport and dropped off at your hotel. You are advised to rest for the day, drinking plenty of water and enjoying the fresh air. You'll also receive the bikes today, so in the evening, you can start trying them out. Overnight in your hotel room.

    Day 2 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Day at Leh

    Today you'll head out for some light exploration of Ladakhi culture. You can choose to take the bikes out today, or you can ride along in the vehicles. You'll visit popular tourists spots such as Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, Hall of Fame Museum, and ride out to Shey, Thiksey, Stok Palace and the Hemis monastery. You'll return to Leh for the night.

    Day 3 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Day trip to Lamayuru

    Today marks your first long driving adventure. You'll ride through the moonscape of Lamayuru, and stop at Alchi and Likir Monasteries. You will also experience the magical phenomenon of Magnetic Hill and the scenic Bazgo plains. Return to your hotel by late afternoon.

    Day 4 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Leh to Nubra Valley

    After 3 days in Leh, you're finally ready to take on Khardung La! At 18,380 feet, this is the world’s highest motorable pass, and is a pilgrimage spot for bikers. After this you will cross into the beautiful Nubra Valley, where you'll stay in a traditional Ladakhi village. Overnight at homestay.

    Day 5 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Nubra Valley to Leh

    Today while making your way back to Leh, you explore the beautiful Nubra Valley, stopping at the Hunder sand dunes to see the double humped Bactrian camels, and the unique Diskit monestary with the mesmerizing Giant Buddha. Ride back to Leh via Khardung La Pass or the Wari La Pass. Overnight in hotel in Leh.

    Day 6 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Leh to Pangong Lake

    Today you ride to Pangong Tso, through high altitude passes, grazing grounds and landscapes. By noon, you'll at the spectacular Pangong Lake, shimmering blue against the ochre landscape. You'll spend the night at a campsite by the lake, so you'll have time to see all the changing colours of the lake.

    Day 7 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Pangong Lake to Leh

    Today is the last day of riding, so make the most of it. You'll ride back to Leh, and arrive by evening. Spend some time shopping for souvenirs, or relax at your hotel. Overnight at your hotel in Leh.

    Day 8 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Depart from Leh

    Check out of your hotel as your trip operator transfers you to the airport. Your trip ends here.

  • Day 1 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Arrive in Leh

    Overnight in hotel room in Leh.

    Spend the first night of your adventure in a super comfortable deluxe hotel room with attached washrooms in Leh. All accommodation is on twin sharing basis. No meals are included in today's meal package but you can visit the many popular restaurants within Leh to taste the traditional cuisine.

    Day 2 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Day at Leh

    Overnight in hotel room in Leh.

    Visit some of the local attractions in Leh and spend your second night in the same hotel as yesterday. Today's meal package includes breakfast only. Instead of visiting other restaurants in Leh, you can also have meals at the hotel where you'll be spending the night at your own expense.

    Day 3 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Day trip to Lamayuru

    Overnight in hotel room in Leh.

    Make a day trip to Lamayuru and visit the Alchi and Likir monasteries. Today's meal package includes breakfast only. Make sure to follow proper measures of acclimatization to avoid headaches and general fatigue.

    Day 4 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Leh to Nubra Valley

    Overnight in a camp tent. in Nubra Valley.

    Ride from Leh to Nubra Valley. Spend the night in large tents at Hunder in the Nubra Valley. Today's meal package includes breakfast only. Every day, you'll stop at a restaurant or eatery en route to your destination, where you can have lunch at your own expense.

    Day 5 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Nubra Valley to Leh

    Overnight in hotel room in Leh.

    Ride from Nubra Valley to Leh. You'll be accommodated in hotel rooms at Leh. All accommodation units throughout the trip, including the Swiss tents, will come with attached washrooms. Today's meal package includes breakfast only.

    Day 6 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Leh to Pangong Lake

    Overnight in camp tents by Pongang Tso Lake.

    Ride from Leh to Pangong Lake. A support vehicle driven by a mechanic will follow your entourage throughout the trip. Spend the night by the Pangong Tso Lake in a beautiful campsite in cozy tents. Today's meal package includes breakfast only.

    Day 7 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Pangong Lake to Leh

    Overnight in hotel room in Leh.
