Manali-Leh-Manali Road Trip

Today you'll arrive in Manali and check in to your hotel. Freshen up, eat something, grab a cup of tea and head out to check your bikes. You'll spend the day doing test rides so that you're comfortable. In the evening, you'll attend an orientation session and will meet the other riders. Overnight in hotel.

You'll check into a hotel room in Manali. Rooms have attached Western washroom, and are usually on twin-sharing basis, unless the total group size is in odd numbers. Breakfast and dinner will be provided at the hotel.

Today you will drive from Manali to Jispa, via Rohtang Pass. It's your first pass on this trip, so make the most of this one. You'll start seeing snow-capped mountains peaks and will enjoy the challenge of navigating through tricky road sections. Overnight in hotel in Jispa.

Today you will drive from Jispa to Sarchu Plains, crossing the Baralacha La Pass. Sarchu is the highest point of your trip, and you should pay close attention to the instructions of your guide to make sure you acclimatise well and avoid discomfort. You'll camp in tents at night.

Today you will cross over from Himachal Pradesh to Jammu and Kashmir as you drive to Leh. You'll take on the challenge of Nakeela Pass, Lachulungla Pass and Thanglang La, and then have the easy ride through 50 kms of the Great Gyanchuthang Plains. Once in Leh, you'll spend your night in a hotel.

Today will be a rest day in Leh. Your bikes will be taken for a full check. In the meantime, you'll head out to Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, Magnetic Hill, and the sangam of the Indus and Zanskar. Overnight in the same hotel or tents.

Today is one of the best days of your ride, as you'll be visiting Pangong Lake, crossing Chang La Pass on the way. Pangong Lake is one of the highest natural salt lakes, and is a stunning blue colour. You'll spend the night in tents by the lake, so you'll be able to see it in all the colours. Spend your night along the Pangong Tso lake in twin or triple sharing tents. Today’s package includes meals of breakfast and dinner.

Today you head back to Leh, stopping en route to see the Lotus Valley school where the Bollywood movie '3 Idiots' was shot. You'll check in to a hotel or campsite in Leh, where you should take it easy. Tomorrow you'll be conquering Khardung La pass, and will need all the rest you can get.

Today you'll take on the world’s highest motorable road to Khardung La. This is the old Silk Route, and leads to Siachen Glacier. Once you're over the pass, you'll enter Nubra Valley. This is a high altitude cold desert, with sand dunes and double-hump Siberian camels, as well as some patches of greenery with peach trees. Overnight in hotel.

Today you drive back to Leh. In Leh, you'll have a chance to do some shopping or sight-seeing, or you can choose to get some well-deserved rest. Overnight in hotel or tents.

Today you'll head out to return to Sarchu. You'll stay in tents for the night.

You'll set off for Manali today. It's a 4-5 hour ride, and you'll get to Manali by evening. The rest of the day is at your disposal. Overnight in hotel in Manali.

You'll check into a hotel room in Manali. Here you'll give up your bikes, and spend the rest of the day enjoying yourself in Manali. Breakfast and dinner will be provided at the hotel.

You'll awake feeling great, having conquered the incredible Manali-Leh route. After breakfast, you'll pack up and check out of the hotel. You can spend the day in Manali, do some shopping, and by evening, you'll head to the bus stop to board your bus. Overnight in the bus.

Eat breakfast in the hotel, and then check out. You can spend the rest of the day exploring Manali. By evening, it's time to head to the bus stop and catch your bus to Delhi. Only breakfast is provided today.
