Take on an action-packed 11-day itinerary that'll take you across the cold, desert kingdom of Ladakh on powerful Royal Enfield motorbikes. Accompanied by an entourage of like-minded motorbikers, you'll follow an expert road captain to visit secluded destinations, from the sand dunes of Hunder to the rolling mountains of Sarchu. During the day, you'll thunder across national highways and off-beat roads, with dramatic views of snow-capped peaks and barren mountains on all sides. En route, you'll halt to visit faraway villages like Turtuk and Buddhist landmarks like the Diskit Monastery, making memories to last a lifetime.

Please note that price displayed is the per person price for a booking for one motorbike rider and one pillion rider. An additional refundable, security deposit of INR 5,000 per motorbike, not included in the cost displayed, is to be paid directly to the tour operator.

Your 11-day adventure in Ladakh begins from the gorgeous hill-station of Srinagar. With every passing day, you'll travel east towards Ladakh, travelling over twisting roads and high altitude passes, postcard views of rolling hills in view. Soon, you'll find yourself camping by pristine high-altitude lakes in Ladakh that are flanked by the Ladakhi mountains, painted with differing shades of brown and grey. You'll explore the city of Leh, visit the historic town of Kargil, the gorgeous lake of Pangong and end your odyssey in the lush, green valleys of Manali with memories of an unforgettable adventure.

En route, you'll also visit the gorgeous town of Sonmarg. As you travel east, towards Ladakh, you'll leave scant greenery of Srinagar behind and begin seeing the barren terrain. You'll cross the high-altitude Zoji-La Pass and reach Kargil by late afternoon. Visit the Kargil War Memorial. Overnight in a hotel at Kargil.

The motorbiking expedition continues from Kargil and onward to Leh. En route, you'll stop to visit the Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, an important Sikh house of worship, and visit the enchanting Buddhist monastery of Lamayuru. Subject to time constraints, you'll also visit the Kargil War Memorial. Driving alongside the Zanskar River, you'll arrive at Leh by late afternoon. Overnight in a hotel at Leh.

You’ll ride along spectacular locations as you make your way to the arid dunes of the Nubra Valley. For this journey you’ll drive along the world’s highest motorable pass: Khardung La situated at a height of 17582 feet! Once in Nubra Valley, you’ll witness the gorgeous sand dunes and even the rare double humped Bactrian camels. You’ll spend the night in Nubra Valley in camp tents.

Taking an offbeat road that doesn't see a lot of motorbiking traffic, you'll ride from Leh to Pangong Lake. En route, you'll ride along the gorgeous Shyok River. You’ll reach Pangong Lake by evening. At the Pangong Lake, take some time to dip your feet in the cool water and meditate in peace. Overnight in Swiss tents at Pangong Lake.

Today you'll ride back to Leh. A beautiful and scenic drive, from witnessing mountain vistas you'll also ride along the Chang La Pass. You'll reach Leh by late afternoon, where you can check into your hotel or guesthouse and spend the rest of day at leisure.

Ride from Leh to Sarchu as you cross the J&K and Himachap Pradesh border. Today, you'll take on the challenge of crossing the Gata Loops, a series of 21 hairpin bends, and ride through the More Plains, a scenic stretch of the route with photogenic mountains on either side of the road. You'll also take on the high altitude passes of Tanglang La, Lachung La, and Nakee La. You'll arrive at Sarchu by evening, an important halt point for motorbikers to Ladakh. Overnight in Swiss tents at Sarchu.

Continue forward from Sarchu. You'll drive to Jispa by going up to an altitude of over 16,000 feet to cross the Baralacha-La Pass. Cancellation policy

For cancellations made more than 60 days before departure of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: 100% refund.

For cancellations made 45-60 days before departure of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: 75% refund.

For cancellations made 30-44 days before departure of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: 50% refund.

For cancellations made 20-29 days before departure of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: 25% refund.

For cancellations made less than 20 days before departure of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: no refund.

In case of no show: no refund.

All refunds will be processed after deducting an administration fee of INR 5,000 per person and a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. The administration fee is charged by the tour operator, the transaction fee is charged by The Great Next.

Rules on trip

The motorbike rider as well as the pillion rider is required to wear a helmet at all times while riding the motorbike. A safety helmet will be provided to all travellers by the tour operator.

Travellers are required to carry a valid, govt-issued photo ID card and a valid driver's licence.

Travellers are required to follow all instructions of the road captain during the Ladakh motorbiking trip.

Consumption of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited during the trip. Travellers suspected of intoxication will not be allowed to participate in the trip.

Travellers getting their own motorbike must ensure that the vehicle is registered to the rider's name and all the relevant documents (pollution check, insurance and driver's licence etc) are in order.

Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

Travellers will be required to pay a refundable, security deposit of INR 5,000 per motorbike. Any major damage or loss to the motorbike and use of any spare parts will be deducted from the security deposit. This deposit is payable directly to the tour operator and any disputes involving the deposit will be settled between the tour operator and the traveller.

Travellers are only allowed to store one rucksack of maximum 60 liters capacity in the support vehicle. Any extra luggage will be the responsibility of the traveller.

If any traveller wishes to exit the tour mid-way for any medical or personal reasons, an additional charge of transporting the motorbike from the leaving point to the end point will be applicable.

The tour operator reserves the right to alter or cancel the itinerary of this Ladakh motorbiking trip due to any unforeseen circumstances to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff. Costs arising due to such a change in itinerary will be borne by the traveller.

Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.
