Srinagar-Leh-Turtuk-Manali motorbiking (12 days)

It's the first day of your motorbiking expedition. You'll test ride the motorbikes in the streets of Sonmarg and leave for Kargil, a historic and strategic town in the state. You will cross the famous Zoji-La pass and the snow-laden Dras village. View a few of the famous peaks of the region, including the Tiger peak and the Tololing peak. Overnight in a guesthouse at Kargil.

Overnight at a hotel or Swiss tents in Kargil.

Ride from Sonmarg to Kargil. You'll stay in Swiss tents or a hotel in Kargil. Every day, you'll stop at a restaurant or eatery en route to your destination, where you can have lunch at your own expense. Today's meal package includes breakfast and dinner only.

Ride out from Kargil and proceed towards Leh, the largest city in Ladakh. En route, you will cross the mysterious Magnetic Hill, visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and see the mesmerizing confluence of the Zanskar and Indus rivers. You will also ride along the Lamayuru village, renowned as the Moonland of Ladakh due to its celestial landscape. Overnight in a hotel at Leh.

Overnight in Leh Chen Boutique or similar.

Ride from Kargil to Leh. You'll be accommodated in a hotel at Leh. All accommodation will be on a double or triple sharing basis. Today's meal package includes breakfast and dinner only.

You'll proceed to the Nubra Valley, traversing one of the highest motorable passes in the world, the Khardung-La, at a staggering altitude of 17,582 feet. You'll reach Hunder by evening. Overnight in a guesthouse or Swiss tents at Hunder.

Overnight in Megpie Resort or Regal or similar.

Ride from Leh to Nubra Valley. You will be accommodated in a hotel at Hunder, a small village in the Nubra Valley. Today's meal package includes breakfast and dinner only.

After a lazy morning, you'll advance towards Turtuk, a tiny farming village nestled between the snow-capped mountains of Ladakh. Famous for apricot farms and gorgeous views, Turtuk is the last village in India before the Line of Control. After exploring Turtuk, you'll ride back to the Nubra Valley and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight in a guesthouse or Swiss tents at Hunder.

Overnight in Megpie Resort or Regal or similar.

Go on a day ride to Turtuk. Please follow proper measures of acclimatization, as instructed by your road captain, in preparation of your travel to higher altitudes. You'll spend the night in the same hotel as yesterday. Today's meal package includes breakfast and dinner only.

In the morning, explore the Nubra Valley and see the landscape full of beige-coloured sand dunes, where you can saddle up a double-humped camel to explore the wide terrain. Proceed towards Pangong through a recently opened, offbeat route along the Shyok River. You'll reach Pangong by evening. Overnight in Swiss tents at the Pangong Lake.

Overnight in Ladakh Horizon or Regan or similar.

Ride from Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake. A support vehicle driven by a mechanic will follow your entourage throughout the trip. You'll stay in Swiss tents by the Pangong Lake. Today's meal package includes breakfast and dinner only.

In the morning, you'll visit the area of Pangong Lake where the climax of popular Bollywood movie, 3 Idiots was filmed. You'll then proceed towards Tso Moriri, a teal blue lake flanked by the barren landscapes of Ladakh, with a short stop to explore two smaller lakes on your way, the Yaye Tso and Mirpal Tso. Overnight in Swiss tents at Tso Moriri.

Overnight in Wild Camps or similar.

Ride from Pangong Lake to Tso Moriri. Please note that due to the high-altitude, there may be limited road access and availability of services like cellular network or bank ATMs. You'll stay in Swiss tents at Tso Moriri. Today's meal package includes breakfast and dinner only.

Today, you'll ride approximately 230 kms and cross state borders to enter Himachal Pradesh. On the way to Sarchu, you'll stop by the Tso Kar lake, ride over the winding roads of the Gata Loops and cross the two high passes of Nakee-La and Lachung-La. Overnight in Swiss tents at Sarchu.

Overnight in Himalayan Spirit or Mulkila Camps or similar.

Ride from Tso Moriri to Sarchu. A road captain riding on a motorbike will lead your entourage throughout the trip. You'll be accommodated in Swiss tents at Sarchu. Today's meal package includes breakfast and dinner only.

Today, you will advance from Sarchu to Jispa. You will ride across another high altitude pass, the Baralacha-La. En route, stop by Zing Zing Bar to grab a cup of hot tea and admire views of the dramatic landscape. Overnight in Swiss tents at Jispa.

Overnight in Nomadic Camps or Himalayan Spirit or similar.

Ride from Sarchu to Jispa. You'll be accommodated at Swiss tents at Jispa. Today's meal package includes breakfast and dinner only. Please note than non-vegetarian meals may not be available everywhere.

It's the last day of motorbiking. Start your journey early morning towards Manali. You will cross over the famous Rohtang pass today and reach Manali by evening. Return the motorbikes to your tour operator at Manali. Overnight in a hotel at Manali.

Overnight at Maple Retreat or similar.

Ride from Jispa to Manali. You'll be accommodated in a hotel at Manali. Today's meal package includes breakfast and dinner only.

You can spend the day at leisure in Manali. Explore the gorgeous hill-station and visit a few of the popular tourist attractions and the Manali marketplace. You'll board the semi-sleeper Volvo bus heading towards Delhi by 16:00 hrs. Overnight in transit.

Overnight in transit.

Check-out from the hotel in the morning and board a semi-sleeper Volvo bus in the evening. You can carry some dry snacks to munch during the overnight journey. Dinner not included in today's meal package.
