    Tour the cold, dessert kingdom of Ladakh on a thrilling 10-day motorbiking itinerary. You'll visit the famed lakes of Pangong and Tso Moriri, travel to the sand dunes of Hunder, ride through the high-altitude pass of Khardung-La, visit the historic monasteries of Thiksey and Diskit, apart from a range of other exciting adventures. A major highlight of this itinerary, you'll also visit the distant village of Hanle, near the Indo-Tibetan border.

    With powerful Royal Enfield motorbikes on hand, you'll roar through cold, desert kingdom of Ladakh, with an entourage of like-minded motorbikers and an experienced support team. Surrounded by barren and arid hills as far as the eye can see, you'll travel to distant destinations in Ladakh, having new adventures and clicking picture-perfect photos.

    Please note that price displayed is the per person price for a booking for one motorbike rider and one pillion rider. An additional refundable, security deposit of INR 10,000 per motorbike, not included in the cost displayed, is to be paid directly to the tour operator.

    Ladakh, the land of high mountain passes, is also the land of extraordinary beauty. The Ladakhi terrain, flanked by the towering mountains of the Trans-Himalayan range, with snow-capped summits rising far beyond the clouds, is home to one of the most iconic motorbiking routes in the country. With scenic views of the landscape, painted in differing shades of grey and brown, you'll explore faraway villages and secluded landmarks in the region on a 10-day motorbiking itinerary.

    Your adventure begins in the lush, green valleys of Manali. Travelling north on the Leh-Manali highway, you'll reach Leh, the largest city of Ladakh. After exploring the city, you'll travel to the sand dunes of the Nubra Valley and spend a night by the famous Pangong Lake. You'll visit the distant village of Hanle, the multi-coloured Tso Moriri and return to Leh, ending the tour with unforgettable experiences.

    Rules on the trip

    The motorbike rider as well as the pillion rider is required to wear a helmet at all times while riding the motorbike. A safety helmet will be provided to the travellers by the tour operator.

    Travellers are required to carry a valid, govt-issued photo ID card and a valid driver's licence.

    Travellers are required to follow all instructions of the road captain during the Ladakh motorbiking trip.

    Consumption of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited during the trip. Travellers suspected of intoxication will not be allowed to participate in the trip.

    Travellers getting their own motorbike must ensure that the vehicle is registered to the rider's name and all the relevant documents (pollution check, insurance and driver's licence etc) are in order.

    Cancellation policy

    For cancellation of the trip made by the tour operator due to any unforeseen circumstances: 100% refund.

    For cancellation of the trip made by the traveller after booking: no refund.

    In case of show: no refund.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    Travellers will be required to pay a refundable, security deposit of INR 10,000 per motorbike. Any major damage or loss to the motorbike and use of any spare parts will be deducted from the security deposit. This deposit is payable directly to the tour operator and any disputes involving the deposit will be settled between the tour operator and the traveller.

    Travellers are only allowed to store one rucksack in the support vehicle. Any extra luggage will be charged extra if stored in the support vehicle.

    If any traveller wishes to exit the tour mid-way for any medical or personal reasons, an additional charge of transporting the motorbike from the leaving point to the end point will be applicable.

    The tour operator reserves the right to alter or cancel the itinerary of this Ladakh motorbiking trip due to any unforeseen circumstances to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff. Costs arising due to such a change in itinerary will be borne by the traveller.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

  • Day 1 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Arrive in Manali

    Arrive in Manali and convene at a pre-determined meeting point. In the afternoon, you'll meet your fellow motorbikers and your road captain for a brief orientation session to discuss the climate conditions, itinerary and other details of your upcoming motorbiking adventure. In the evening, test ride your allotted motorbikes in the streets of Manali. Overnight in a hotel at Manali.

    Day 2 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Manali to Sarchu

    Begin your Ladakh motorbiking adventure from the charming woods near Manali, featuring thick forests of oak and pine. Travelling away from the lush, green valleys of Manali, you'll begin riding towards the barren hills of Ladakh. You'll ride through the Rohtang Pass, a famous mountain pass in Himachal Pradesh, and drive alongside the flowing Beas River. Overnight in Swiss tents at Sarchu.

    Day 3 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Sarchu to Leh

    Ride from Sarchu to Leh, the largest city of Ladakh. En route, you'll cross the More Plains, a vast stretch of flat land with breathtaking views on the horizon. You'll also ride through the challenging Gata Loops, a series of hairpin bends that require attentive motorbiking skills. Also on today's itinerary is riding through the second highest mountain pass in the world, the Tanglang-La. Overnight in a hotel in Leh.

    Day 4 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Day at Leh

    Spend your day at leisure in Leh. Today, you can head out to explore local attractions near Leh, such as the Shanti Stupa, the Leh Palace and the Thiksey Monastery. In the evening, you can also visit the Tibetan marketplace in Leh to shop for any souvenirs or gifts. Overnight in a hotel at Leh.

    Day 5 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Leh to Hunder

    Begin your Ladakh motorbiking tour by taking on the challenge of riding through the world's highest mountain pass, the Khardung-La, at an altitude of over 17,000 feet on today's journey to Hunder. Located in the Nubra Valley, Hunder is famous for sprawling sand dunes and the Bactrian double-humped camels. Enjoy a scenic evening at Hunder and visit the nearby Diskit Monastery. Overnight in Swiss tents or a hotel at Hunder.

    Day 6 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Hunder to Pangong Lake

    Proceed to the Pangong Lake, travelling over an off-beat, rocky and rough route that will test your skills of motorbiking. You'll ride besides the Shyok River, taking in scenic views of the craggy mountains. At Pangong Lake, you can spend some time by the lake and enjoy the star-studded night sky. Overnight in Swiss tents at Pangong Lake.

    Day 7 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Pangong Lake to Hanle

    In the morning, spend some time on the banks of the Pangong Lake and visit the area featured in the popular Bollywood movie '3 Idiots'. Soon, you'll travel back from Pangong and continue to Hanle, a little-known village close to the Indo-Tibetan border. After crossing a few high-altitude villages, you'll ride through the Rezang-La and Tsaga-La, mountain passes that were once battlefields during the Indo-Chinese wars. At Hanle, you can visit the local monastery and spend some time at the astronomical observatory in the village. Overnight in a hotel at Hanle.

    Day 8 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Hanle to Tso Moriri

    Travelling back from Hanle, you'll ride to the Tso Moriri Lake, another gorgeous high-altitude lake in Ladakh. The clear and beautiful skies offer a stunning backdrop for mountain peaks on the way to Tso Moriri. Stop at vantage points to click photos and admire the scenery.     Day 9 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Tso Moriri to Leh

    On the last day of your Ladakh motorbiking adventure, you'll return to Leh from Tso Moriri. You'll ride through a relatively, less travelled route, with open and vacant areas. Mountains of the Changthang valley will keep you company through until you arrive in Leh. Overnight in a hotel at Leh.
