    Manali Lahaul Chandratal Road Trip (ex-Delhi)

    Embark on this exciting road trip where not only will you get to explore the colourful markets of Manali and its quaint cafes, but also the rich culture of Sissu, and spend time on the banks of the enchanting Chandratal Lake. Another highlight of this trip is the thrilling drive through the Rohtang Pass which is famous for its hairpin bends. You'll also spend a couple of nights in tents at Sissu and Chandratal campsite, under the cover of starry skies.

    Destination

    Your first destination for this road trip is Manali, a gorgeous town located in Kullu Valley of Himachal Pradesh. It is surrounded by lush greenery, and the town is famous for its colourful markets and buzzing cafes. You'll then visit the quaint village of Sissu, located in Lahaul Valley. The town, bustling with rich culture, is surrounded by just as gorgeous sceneries which include tall mountains, Chandra River, and a waterfall. The last destination is the Chandratal Lake, an alpine body of water located at an altitude of 14100 feet. You'll also get a glimpse into the Spiti Valley when you visit the lake.

    Today, you'll board the bus from Delhi at 18:30 hrs which will drive you to Manali. Since it is an overnight journey, you'll sleep in the bus itself. Remember to carry an extra shawl or a blanket for the night. You'll reach Manali early the next morning. Overnight in bus transit.

    Today, you'll wake up early, have breakfast, and leave for Sissu in Lahaul Valley. You'll pass the mighty Rohtang La on your way to Sissu, and you'll be treated to some breathtaking views from the top of the pass. After an adventurous drive along the Chenab River, you'll arrive at Sissu which is a small village located in Lahaul. In the evening, you'll trek to a nearby waterfall and then return to the campsite. Overnight in tents at Sissu.

    Today, you'll begin your drive to the enchanting Chandratal Lake. The drive is long but relaxing and you'll be treated to some mesmerizing views of the snow-capped peaks and gorgeous landscape of Spiti. You'll reach the campsite by afternoon, and then in the evening you'll visit the lake. After spending some time at the lakeside, you'll return to the campsite. Overnight in tents at Chandratal campsite.

    Today, you'll begin your drive to Manali in the morning. It will be an adventurous ride as you will again cross Rohtang La. You'll reach Manali by late afternoon. In the evening, you can explore the colourful markets of Manali and buy some gifts for your loved ones. You'll then board the bus that will take you to Delhi. Overnight in the transit bus.

    For cancellations made more than 30 days before the departure date of the Manali Lahaul Chandratal road trip: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made between 15-30 days before the departure date of the Manali Lahaul Chandratal road trip: 25% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 15 days before the departure date of the Manali Lahaul Chandratal road trip: no refund.

    In case of no show: no refund.

    All refunds are processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the tour guide during the road trip.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Consumption of drugs is strictly prohibited during the Manali Lahaul Chandratal road trip.

    Travellers are required to carry a driver's license and a valid government-issued photo ID.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    Travellers are requested to report at the pick-up point in Delhi by 18:30 hrs. Delay in arriving at the pick-up point may lead to missing the departure.

    The car's AC will be switched off during unsuitable road conditions, uphill travel on mountainous roads and waiting time.

    This Manali Lahaul Chandratal road trip takes travellers to destinations at altitudes from 9,000 ft to13,000 ft, with low cellular connectivity and limited access to services.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap or accident during the Manali Lahaul Chandratal road trip.

    The tour operator reserves the right to change or cancel the itinerary of this trip due to bad weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff.
