    This day-trip to an adventure campsite near the Pawna Lake combines a trek to Tung Fort with a session of rappelling down a waterfall. You'll begin your day by hiking on a relatively easy trail to the Tung Fort. From the summit of Tung Fort, you'll see views of surrounding forts like Lohagad, Visapur, Korigand and Tikona, plus the waters of the Pawna Dam on three sides. Your adventure continues as you head for an exciting session of rappelling down a cliff as the cool water of a waterfall gushes forth over you.

    This package also includes meals of snacks and lunch at the adventure campsite, located on the banks of the Pawna Lake.

    IMPORTANT: Please note that this is not a fixed departure. A minimum of 10 travellers are required to book this trip.

    Destination

    The Tung Fort is a small hill fort perched atop a sharp, conical or triangular mountain peak. Built at an elevation of 3,527 feet, the fort was largely used as a watchtower since it allows for sweeping views of the surrounding areas of the Mulshi Valley and Pawna Lake.

    You're meals will be served at the adventure camp near Pawna, that offers a host of camping and adventure activities. The campsite is easily accessible by road from Pune and Mumbai, with parking space available for patrons. There are 5 washrooms and 5 shower rooms available for use for day-trippers. The campsite is right beside Pawna Lake, so there are always great views and cool breeze blowing off the lake.

  • Go trekking and rappelling near Pawna Lake!

    Arrive at the campsite on the banks of the Pawna Lake by 08:00 hrs. Upon arrival, you'll be served tea with snacks, after which you'll begin the trek to Tung Fort. After a relatively easy, 1-hr trek, you'll reach the top of Tung Fort and have breakfast. Take some time to explore the fort and admire surrounding views from the top.

    By noon, you'll begin the descent and trek to the waterfall for an exciting session of rappelling. You'll have lunch after the rappelling session and return back to the campsite. Here, you can spend some time exploring the campsite and relaxing after a fun and adventurous day. At an additional cost, you can also go on the world's largest Rambo Sling. You'll check out by 17:00 hrs. Your trip ends here.

    The trip begins as you arrive at the campsite by 08:00 hrs. You'll go trekking to the Tung Fort and rappelling down a nearby waterfall. Today's meal package includes snacks and lunch. Jain food can be arranged with prior notice only. You'll check out of the campsite by 17:00 hrs.

    For cancellations made 7 days or more before departure of the Tung Fort trek and waterfall rappelling trip: Full refund.

    For cancellations made 0-6 days before departure of the Tung Fort trek and waterfall rappelling trip: No refund.

    No show: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting any transaction charges.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to adhere to the instructions of the trek leader during the Tung Fort trek and waterfalling rappelling trip.

    Consumption of alcohol, drugs, tobacco products and cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the trip. Travellers suspected to be under the influence will not be allowed to participate in any adventure activity, without refund.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap or accident during the Tung Fort trek and waterfalling rappelling trip.

    Travellers will be required bear any additional costs arising due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, road blocks etc.
