Nagtibba Trek (Ex-Pantwari)

Take a break from the city life, and head out for a quick rejuvenating trip to the mountains with the Nagtibba trek. Trek to the highest peak of the lesser Himalayas in this easy 2-day trek, which can also easily completed by beginners, even children.

The trek takes your through dense oak forests and offers magnificent views of the Gangotri and Kedarkantha peaks. Spend your night camping under the stars in an open clearing. Set out to conquer the Nag Tibba peak in the early hours of the next morning.

Not only is this a quick and easy trek for beginners, it is also accessible year round. In the winters you have the opportunity to make your way through a blanket of snow, while you can enjoy views of lush, sun-kissed greenery all around in the summers.

Please note that the price is inclusive of Pantwari to Pantwari. The operator can arrange for transport from Dehradun at an additional charge of INR 1000 per guest.

Also known as the Serpent Peak, Nagtibba is the highest peak in the lesser Himalayas at an alltitute of 9915 feet. Magnificent views of the Himalayas accompany you all through this easy trek. 

You can learn more about the locals and see their way of life as you pass by villages and farms. In a span of a day this trek will take you from the city, to the Nagtibba peak while passing dense forests and open fields blooming with native flora.

Plan your day in advance so that you reach Pantwari Village just in time for lunch. Located approximately 90 km from Dehradun, the drive to Pantwari will take you around 4 hours. Meet your trek leader and fellow trekkers at the village, where you enjoy lunch before you begin the trek. You start off on a gradual ascent of 4 km that will take you to the campsite for the night. Set up your tents and explore the campsite before evening snacks and refreshments are served. It will be an early dinner tonight after which it is time to retire to your tents.

Today is an early start to the day, where you begin your 4 km trek to the peak by 5:00 hrs. Make sure to fill and carry water bottles for this part of the trek, becasue of the lack of fresh water streams on the route. Explore the Nagtibba peak before you begin your descent to Pantwari Village where you will have a piping hot lunch waiting for you. Your trip ends here.

Medical Kit

  • Please carry all prescribed and personal medication that you will require for the duration of the trek.

Cancellation policy

For cancellations made prior to 60 days of departure date – 100% of the total trek fee will be refunded i.e. no cancellation Fees.

For cancellations made 30-60 days from the departure date – 70% of the total trek fee will be refunded.

For cancellations made 15-30 days from departure date – 50% of the total trek fee will be refunded.

For cancellations made 1-15 days from departure date – No Amount will be refunded.

You can choose to transfer your seat to your friend but he/she has to fulfill all the formalities before the day of the Event.

Replacement would not be applicable on any public transport booked for original participant, in that case booking for the new member has to be done again.

Rules on trip

Participants must adhere to the instructions of the trip leader/guide at all times during the Nagtibba trek.

Consumption of alcoholic beverages/drugs during the Nagtibba trek is not permitted.

Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

The supplier reserves the right to change the itinerary of the Nagtibba trek without prior notice.

Trek costs are exclusive of any kind of insurances or medical coverage/benefits.

In the case of transferring your booking to a family member or friend, that person should satisfy the mandatory requirements for the Nagtibba trek.

Changing of batches depends on availability of the Nagtibba trek.
