Dehradun railway station is a busy railway station in the northern state of Uttarakhand and is well connected by means of road and rail to major hubs in India. You can also fly in to Jolly Grant Airport, which is about 30 kms away from Dehradun.
This 3 day trek to Nagtibba is a moderately challenging trek and is perfect for newbies, or for participants with some experience looking for a short trek in the Himalayas. You'll set off from Dehradun, and within a few hours, you'll be at Nagtibba Peak. The campsite here offers you gorgeous views of famous Himalayan peaks like Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Neelkanth, Black peak etc. At camp, you'll love the crisp fresh air, drink hot tea flavoured with wild mint, and enjoy a bonfire and a hot dinner at night. You'll be sleeping in tents with the sound of nature outside, and will wake up to glorious mornings with spectacular views.
Situated in the foothills of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand, Dehradun is the gateway to many mountain adventures. Your trek to Nagtibba begins at an elevation of 3500 feet, and winds through high altitude pine forests, over narrow streams, and through sprawling meadows, to finally reach Nagtibba peak at a towering elevation of 10,000 feet. En route, you'll cross many small Himalayan settlements where you'll see locals farming or going about their daily lives.

You'll meet the operator at Dehradun railway station at 07:00 hrs and board a vehicle and head for Pantwari village via Mussoorie. It takes about 5 hrs of trekking to get to Nagtibba base from here, with moderately challenging slopes. You'll arrive at the campsite early in the evening. Explore the surrounding area and enjoy your evening tea. At night, relish a delicious dinner around a campfire under the star-spangled sky. Overnight stay in tents.

You will be staying in alpine tents on twin-sharing basis tonight. Each traveller is equipped with clean, warm sleeping bags and sleeping mattresses. For your convenience, the campsite will have separate toilet tents for men and women, as well as a kitchen/dining tent.

The operator has a set of guidelines for the Nagtibba trek that must be adhered to based on the tenets of ‘Leave No Trace’ & ‘Tread Light’ policies. These guidelines are very simple and emphasise on travelling in small groups, better planning, understanding impact of camping, proper waste disposal, respecting local cultures, sensitivity towards wildlife and so on.
Participants must adhere to the instructions of the team leader during the trek to Nagtibba.
Smoking, consumption of alcohol, narcotic drugs etc. is strictly prohibited during the Nagtibba trek.
While on the trek to Nagtibba, participants must follow a proper waste disposal system.
