    Dive deeper into the adventure sport of scuba diving with this PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course. Perfect for certified divers who are adept in basic scuba skills, this course will train divers over the course of five open water dives. Accompanied by a certified dive instructor, you'll undertake specialty dives such as the night dive, wreck dive, drift dive and many more to learn the intricate details of advanced diving. After successfully completing the course, you'll be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver.

    NOTE: Only divers certified as a PADI/SSI Open Water Diver can book this advanced scuba course in Andaman.

    Havelock Island, a small island in the Andaman archipelago, is the most widely recognized destination for scuba diving in India. Submerged in the deep blue waters of the Andaman Sea, the dive centers and beaches of Havelock attract adventure travellers from all over the continent. The dive spots around the island, with high visibility, are located in areas of dense and diverse marine life. The under water topography of the dive spots, from sandy seafloors to lively corals, offer a varied diving experience to divers of all skill levels.

    Rules on the trip

    Divers are required to follow instructions of the dive instructor during the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course.

    Consumption of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited during the course. Consumption of tobacco products and cigarettes is not recommended either.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Please allow 12 hours between the end of your last dive and your return flight to allow your body to recover.

    Cancellation policy

    For cancellations made 30 days or more before beginning the advanced scuba diving course: 98% refund.

    For cancellations made 15-29 days before beginning the advanced scuba diving course: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 15 days before beginning the advanced scuba diving course: no refund.

    In case of no show: no refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting any transaction charges.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    Divers are required to be certified as a PADI/SSI Open Water Diver in order to book this trip.

    A few days before the course begins, divers will be sent PADI e-learning material that can be used to get a head start before the course begins.

    Divers must agree to discontinue diving if respiratory congestion or a head cold or any other medical condition occurs during the course.

    The tour operator reserves the right to alter or cancel the itinerary of this PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course due to bad weather conditions to ensure maximum safety of divers and staff.

    Divers will be required to bear any additional costs arising due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, natural calamities etc.

    Report to the dive center on Havelock Island by 07:30 hrs. Here, you'll meet your instructor and prepare for the day's activities. Your training begins with a self-study of modules designed to refresh your prior skills and introduce you to advanced dive techniques.

    After studying the required modules, you'll proceed to take a boat ride from the dive center to a few of the dive spots in the Andaman Sea. You'll don the wetsuit to complete two, 45-minute long dives. During these dives, the dive instructor will take you through the two mandatory specializations of underwater navigation and deep diving. Return back to the island and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

    Day 2 of PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course: 2 dives

    Report to the dive center on Havelock Island by 07:30 hrs. The day begins with a self-study of modules introducing you to the different specializations in advanced scuba diving.

    After studying the required modules, you'll proceed to take a boat ride from the dive center to a few of the dive spots in the Andaman Sea. You'll don the wetsuit to complete two, 45-minute long dives. During these dives, the dive instructor will take you through the two elective dive specializations. Return back to the island and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

    Depending on weather conditions, you may also have the option of completing a night dive in the evening.

    Day 3 of PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course: 1 dive

    Report to the dive center on Havelock Island by 07:30 hrs. The day begins with a self-study of modules furthering your knowledge of different specializations in advanced scuba diving. If you selected to go for the night dive, your course ends after studying the required modules.

    If you couldn't go for a night dive, you'll proceed to take a boat ride from the dive center to a few of the dive spots in the Andaman Sea. You'll don the wetsuit to complete one, 45-minute long dives. During this dive, the dive instructor will work with you to put the finishing touches on your dive technique. Return back to the island and complete the paperwork for your certification. Your trip ends here.
