    This PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course in Thailand is the perfect way to get more experience in scuba diving after finishing your Open Water Diver course. You'll be completing five open water dives, swimming down to a maximum depth of 90 feet in the Gulf of Thailand. During these dives, you'll learn the advanced techniques of underwater navigation and deep diving. The dives take place in the beautiful dive spots of the Koh Rang Marine Park, offering an amazing experience with a lively seafloor and healthy coral reefs.

    Koh Chang, home to the Koh Rang Marine Park, attracts thousands of professional scuba divers looking to upgrade their skills every year. Here, the dive spots are gifted with incredible coral reefs, diverse marine population and a sandy seafloor. The ambient and tropical water temperature, coupled with relatively clear visibility, has turned Koh Chang into a hotspot for scuba diving. The rocks, canyons and corals of Koh Chang are home to turtles, snappers, moray eels, barracudas and several other fishes. A major attraction for advanced divers is the wreck of the HTMS Chang, a massive ship that once was a part of the Royal Thai Navy.

    Consumption of alcohol, drugs, tobacco products and cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the trip.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the dive instructor during the trip.

    Cancellation policy

    For any cancellations made before the start date of the Koh Chang PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course: no refund.

    In case of no show: no refund.

    All refunds are subject to fluctuations based on international currency exchange rates at the time of cancellation. Accordingly, refunds may be subject to a foreign currency premium/discount.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    All divers are required to be certified as PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent before booking this scuba diving course in Thailand.

    Hotel pick-up and drop-off is included in this package, only if your hotel is situated along the west coast of Koh Chang. Accordingly, please inform the tour operator regarding the address of your hotel a day prior to the start date of your scuba diving course.

    Travellers from outside Thailand are requested to carry enough cash in the local currency to cover tips to staff and other incidental expenses.

  • Day 1 of the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course: 2 open water dives!

    If you're staying at a hotel on the western coast of Koh Chang, you can avail a pick-up service from your hotel to the Klong Prao dive center. Today, you'll meet your dive instructor and begin your training. After a quick refresher of your scuba skills, you'll take a boat ride to the dive spots around Koh Chang. The instructor will guide you through the two mandatory open water dives that you'll be undertaking today - the deep dive and the underwater navigation dive. | During these two dives, you'll work with the instructor and swim as deep as 90 feet in the ocean. Lunch will be served after the second dive. The day's session ends by late afternoon, when the boat will travel back to the island and you'll be dropped back to your hotel on the west coast of Koh Chang.     Day 2 of the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course: 3 open water dives!

    Get picked-up from your hotel and travel to the dive center. Today, you'll be completing three elective open water dives. You can choose from a range of available electives such as a wreck dive, peak performance dive and more. During these dives, you'll work with your instructor to specialize in these areas and put the finishing touches on your newly learned scuba skills. Lunch will be served by mid-afternoon. The boat will travel back to the dive center, where you'll give a short quiz and complete the paperwork for your PADI certification. You'll be dropped back to your hotel on the west coast of Koh Chang. Your trip ends here.
