    The PADI Open Water Diver course in Gili Air is a 3-day PADI certification course that enables newbie divers to learn the basic skills of diving whilst embarking on 4 open water dives in some of the world’s most coveted dive spots.

    Your dives will last for about 45 mins each and will take you as deep as 60 feet, nad let you explore the exotic waters of Gili Air. And at the end of your course, you'll be rewarded with a PADI Open Water Diver certification.

    Destination

    Gili Air is the second largest of the three Gili Islands in Lombok region. This island is also lies within the world’s famous ‘Coral Triangle’. It is known for its tropical vegetation, white sand beaches and abundance of palm trees coupled with a thriving fish life and coral reefs just off-shore has made this destination a popular one amongst divers from all over the world.

    During this course some of the dive sites you’ll visit consist of the Gili Air Wall, Turtle Island, Manta Point and Sea Horse Bay amongst many others. Some of the fish you can expect to spot consist of cuttlefish, lionfish, shrimp, crabs, octopus, sea horses, squids, manta rays, stingrays, yellow snappers, eels and perhaps even the black-tip reef shark!

  • Day 1 of the PADI Open Water Diver Course in Gili Air: Theory and Pool Training

    Today, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Gili Air and driven to the dive centre in the morning. As it is the first day of your PADI Open Water Diver course, you'll start with theory. This includes studying 5 modules, watching DVD's and concluding it with a text. Once you finish theory you'll move on to pool training. Here you'll learn to breathe underwater, different diving techniques and safety procedures. At the end of today's class you'll revise everything before you are dropped back to your hotel.

    Day 2 of the PADI Open Water Diver Course in Gili Air: 2 Open Water Dives upto 40 feet

    Today, you'll once again be picked up from your hotel and driven to the dive centre. As it is your second diving day, you'll start off with a quick revision of everything you learned the previous day before you head out to the pier and board the boat. At the dive site, you'll get to embark on 2 open water dives upto a maximum depth of 40 feet. At the end of your dives you'll return to the dive centre to freshen up and change. You'll then be dropped back to your hotel.

    Day 3 of the PADI Open Water Diver Course in Gili Air: 2 Open Water Dives upto 60 feet

    Today, you'll be picked up from your hotel and driven to the dive centre where you'll collect your dive gear and head out to the water. Once you reach your dive spot, you'll embark on your beautiful dives which will take you as deep as 60 feet into the water. At the end of your dives return back to the dive centre to freshen up, change, fill out your log book and collect your certificate. You'll then be dropped back to your hotel. Your course ends here.
