  • Trip introduction

    The PADI Scuba Diver (SD) course is the first level of training for scuba diving. If you’ve been diving before and enjoyed it, this course is the perfect introduction to the skills and techniques of guided scuba diving. As a licensed scuba diver, you’ll be able to dive up to 12 meters deep, anywhere in the world, under the supervision of an instructor. This 3-day PADI Scuba Diver course involves 3 theory modules, shallow water training, and 2 dives in open water up to 12 metres deep. This certification can be completed in 2 days or 3 days, depending on your comfort level.

    NOTE: To complete your course and get your PADI Scuba Diver certification, you will be expected to swim 200 metres and float for 10 minutes in open water.

Havelock is popular for its white sand beaches fringed with palm trees, gorgeous blue water, and spectacular marine biodiversity.     Rules on the trip

    You must adhere to the instructions of your instructor at all times.

    All equipment for scuba diving in Havelock will be provided by the operator and participants must use them with care.

    Participants must not be absent for any module of the Scuba Diver course in Andamans.

    Smoking, consumption of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited during the scuba diving in Havelock.

    Touching or teasing marine life, harming corals, collecting shells or corals is strictly prohibited while scuba diving in Havelock.

    Cancellation policy

    If you cancel the PADI Scuba Diver course in Havelock 30 days or more before the start date: 100% refund, minus any transaction charges.

    If you cancel the PADI Scuba Diver course in Havelock between 29 to 7 days before the start date: 50% refund, minus any transaction charges.

    If you cancel the PADI Scuba Diver course in Havelock less than 7 days before the start date: No refund.

    No show: No refund.

    No refund is given for cancellations on bookings between 15 Dec to 15 Jan.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    All participants will be required to sign an indemnity form before starting the scuba diving course in Andamans.

    All participants will receive a detailed medical form which will have to be filled before undertaking the scuba diving course in Andamans. If the participants answer 'Yes' to any of the questions, they will have to get a doctor's clearance for the same. This form helps the diving instructors and staff to be better prepared and help you get a personalised experience.

    Please leave enough time between your arrival in Havelock and your dive activity. You should have 24 hours after your last dive before you catch a flight.

    If you do not complete any task/requirement of the course, you cannot be certified. There are no refunds if you cannot be certified.

  • Day 1 of the PADI Scuba Diver course

    Eat a light breakfast in the morning, and report to the dive centre on Beach 5 in Havelock by 07:00 hrs. You'll dig into some morning snacks here while you go over the theory sessions with your instructor. Then you head out to start your shallow water sessions, where you'll practise your basic skills underwater. You'll eat a light lunch between dives, and should be back at the dive centre by about 14:30 hrs. After that, the day is yours to spend as you please.

    Day 2 of the PADI Scuba Diver course

    Return to the dive centre by 07:00 hrs. You'll go over everything you learned yesterday, and study some new skills today. After that, you'll head out for another shallow water training session. You'll also be doing your first open water dive today, if you're ready for it. You'll return to the dive centre by about 14:30 hours today too, and will be free for the rest of the day to do as you please.

    Day 3 of the PADI Scuba Diver course

    It's the final day of your PADI Scuba Diver course, and by the time you get back this evening, you'll be a certifed diver! You'll do a recap of all the skills you've learned, and then will set off for your open water dive. During this dive, you'll be asked to complete some tasks underwater in order to earn your certification. When you return to the dive centre, you'll learn how to fill out your log book and will collect your certificate. Congratulations, you're a certified PADI Scuba Diver now! You can now chose to dive upto 12 metres/40 feet deep anywhere in the world, under the supervision of a dive instructor.
