    Elementary Pilot Paragliding Course (EP)

    Are you interested in paragliding as a hobby? Indus Paragliding’s Elementary Pilot Course is your first step towards free flying.

    By the end of this 4-day course, you would have had 8-10 solo flights under the direct (radio) supervision of your instructor. You will also learn how to handle your paragliding equipment, how to land and take-off, and how to perform a number of in-air and on-ground techniques.

    In the evenings, we arrange informal barbeques and gatherings to discuss the day's events, as well as to exchange stories—all in the lush gardens of Indus Paragliding basecamp, overlooking a lake.

    We do not provide a license for this course. But we will update your log book with the skills learned and tasks performed. You will also qualify for the Club Pilot Paragliding Course.

    Destination

    Indus Paragliding lies in a beautiful village about 110 km away from Mumbai. This professional paragliding school offers you the first step towards free flying through its Elementary Pilot Course. This 4-day course teaches you the basic techniques, and you get 8-10 solo fights under the watchful eyes of experienced instructors.

    The course duration is flexible, and you can complete it over 2 weekends. After you finish your Elementary Pilot course, you are eligible for a 4-day Club Pilot course, where you learn advanced flying techniques and many long duration solo flights.

    You need to get

    • Sunscreen or sun block
    • Torch
    • Judicial paper of INR 50 on which to sign a bond (we have a supply at our basecamp as well)
    • Five ID-sized photographs
    • Photo ID with a copy of it
    • Proof of address (passport, Voter's ID)

    Medical Kit

    • Carry only specific medications and personal prescriptions
    • We also have a first-aid kit on site.

    We expect our customers to refrain from alcohol and drugs of any kind during the course and flying hours.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    This course can be completed over two weekends or in four continuous days, depending on your time constraints.

    Arrangements for paragliding flights are dependent on the weather conditions. Please call one day ahead to confirm your booking and report by the instructed time to avoid delays in your schedule.

    We reserve the right to postpone or cancel flying if we deem the weather conditions unsafe.
