Getting there

If you're coming by train, then you can take a local directly from Pune to Kamshet. You can even use one of the many bus services that run between Pune and Kamshet.

If you want, you can even bring your car as the drive is scenic and fun. Take the old Mumbai-Pune highway to reach Kamshet.

Pick-up point

Although many might prefer taking their car up to the take-off point, it is recommended that you opt for a pick-up as the road leading up to the take-off point is rough and cumbersome.

If you do opt for the pick-up, then you have to report to Hotel Rangoli on the old Mumbai-Pune highway at the given time where you'll meet the operator. The hotel, while coming from Pune, lies on the left side of the highway.

Report at the pick-up point and meet the operator who will then take you to the take-off point. There, you will be briefed about the activity and get strapped into the paraglider. You'll then begin your paragliding session. After the session, you will be dropped off to the drop point. The trip ends here.

Inclusions:

The package for paragliding in Pune includes one tandem paragliding session along with all the equipment required for the same, i.e. glider, helmet, safety harness, etc. Services of a certified pilot and crew are also included in the package, ensuring a safe and comfortable flying experience. Exclusion:

The package does not include any kind of transportation between your home-city and pick-up/drop-off point. Best time to go/Weather

From October to May is the best time for paragliding in Pune. During these months, the winds are strong and the skies are clear, ensuring best conditions for paragliding. During the month of monsoon, paragliding does not happen.

Additionally, paragliding is a weather dependent activity. The wind direction, speed and overcast determines whether paragliding will happen or not. If the conditions are not right, then the flight may get delayed or cancelled.
