The journey to Prashar Lake takes you through the flourishing rhododendron and oak forests and makes you cross babbling rivulets. Bathe under gushing waterfalls and enjoy the spectacular views of Dhauladhar, Pir Panjal and Kinnaur mountain ranges on this trek.

This trek to Prashar Lake is an all-season easy adventure and suitable for beginners as well.

Prashar Lake is located in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh at an altitude of 9000 feet. The lake is surrounded by verdant meadows which are surrounded by dense pine forest. From Prashar Lake, you can see the snow-clad Dhauladhar, Pir Panjal and the Great Himalaya ranges. The water of the lake is blue coloured and you can spot little fish inside the lake. The lake is named after the sage Prashar who lived and meditated on the banks of the lake. Beside the lake, the three-storeyed temple is built in the honour of Parashar Rishi.
