White Water Rafting at Kolad-Ex Pune

This trip makes for the perfect weekend getaway to Kolad for some quality white water rafting. We raft on the mighty Kundalika river, beginning from the lower side of Bhira dam. The 12 km rafting stretch of grade 3 rapids flowing towards Dolwahal dam, takes us 2.5 hrs before we reach our end point.

We also enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch and tea as a part of the package.

Kolad is a small beautiful Konkan village in the Raigad district of Maharashtra which lies on the banks of Kundalika river. The river which has its origin in Tamhini ghats is recognised as a perfect place for white water rafting for amateurs.

Since the 12 km of rafting is performed between two dams the safety is higher as there are no unknown changes in the levels of water. Kundalika river has made Kolad region as the water sports hub.
