This rafting expedition takes you down the rapids of the Ganga and Alaknanda over 3 days, giving you a true outdoors experience! You'll spend the days paddling your rafts through peaceful stretches, tackling big rapids, and swimming in the cool river in the late afternoon. As dusk falls, your tents will be set up on pristine river beaches, and you'll enjoy a campfire and a hot dinner. At night, you'll sleep in tents with the river gurgling outside.
IMPORTANT: This is not a fixed departure trip. It requires 3-6 travellers for a booking confirmation.
NOTE: This is an expedition, so customers must be prepared for this. There will be no electricity at camp, so mobile phones, batteries, cameras, etc cannot be charged.
You'll be starting your Rishikesh expedition at Devprayag, where the Bhagirathi and the Alaknanda meet to form the Ganga. From here, you'll raft to Byasghat, which is a famous fishing spot, thanks to the gorgeous Golden Mahaseer in the river. You'll proceed the next day to Kaudiyala, tackling some of the most exciting rapids in the Ganges, including The Wall, Daniel's Dip, Three Blind Mice, and Cross Fire. The next day, you'll take on the stretch between Kaudiyala and NIM Beach, meeting rapids like Double Trouble, Initiation, Club House, and Golf Course.
You will be camping in twin-triple sharing tents at night, with all camping equipment provided to you. Dry pit toilet tents will be set up for your convenience. All your belongings will be loaded into a separate raft and will be returned to you every evening. Anything you need on the raft will be stored in a dry bag.

You'll have to report to the operator's office at Tapovan at 07:00 hrs today. From here, you'll be driven to Devprayag, which is about 65 kms away from Tapovan, stopping en route for breakfast. At Devprayag, the rafts will be set up and loaded, and you will receive your main briefing. You'll begin your first stretch of rafting today.
Your first day of rafting is not too hard, and you'll learn how to use your equipment and handle Grade I and II rapids.
By afternoon, you'll reach Byasghat, where you'll camp on a gorgeous silver beach. Overnight in tents.

You'll be transferred to Devprayag by private shared vehicle, stopping en route for breakfast (not included in package). From Devprayag, you will be rafting to Byasghat. You will be served a packed lunch, but a hot dinner will be served at camp. Your tents will be set up on the Byasghat beach at night, and you'll enjoy a hot dinner and campfire, and retire to your cosy tents for the night. All refunds will be processed after deducting transaction fees as well as a standard INR 200 per person towards cancellation charges by The Great Next.
All participants must follow the guide's instructions at all times.
Alcohol is not permitted at least 6 hours before the rafting activity.
Participants must not litter in the river, or at the campsite.
The operator will provide for Jain/Halal food or in case of any dietary requirements, with prior notice. However, separate meal orders will not be accepted. Everyone will have to eat the same menu.
The age limit for this trip is 14-60 years old. Anyone who is not comfortable with the water/scared of the rapids will be asked to walk for certain stretches.
No fire/electricity items are permitted inside tents.
