Riverside camping adventure in Rishikesh

Tropical birds and trees, lush pine forests and a river running gently by – all this and more await you on this delightful camping and rafting adventure. You’ll spend two happy days on a beautiful campsite, staying in canvas safari tents with comfortable cots and mattresses, indulging in a range of fun activities during the day, and relaxing in the evenings. As the night air grows colder, the stars come out, the mountains around you glow in the moonlight, and the bonfire blazes merrily, make these nights unforgettable.

But the next day, it's all about adventure! You'll face the rolling rapids of the Ganges on a thrilling 16 km stretch, covering some of the big rapids like Return to Sender, Golf Course, Double Trouble, Hilton, and more. At the end, you'll get to try out cliff-jumping, or do a little body-surfing and swimming in peaceful sections of the river.

Your jungle campsite is in the middle of the green Rajaji National Park, so you may expect to see a wide variety of Himalayan birds, animals and flora. The tents are comfortably equipped with two cots, soft foam mattresses, clean linen, polyfill quilts, and pillows. You'll be able to choose from a range of activities, including trekking to a waterfall nearby, going for a forest walk, playing volleyball or basketball, or just spending some quiet time.

Arrive at Rishikesh before noon and check-in. You'll be given a short introduction to your trip ahead and be allocated your tents for your stay. You can explore the campsite a bit before lunch. It's a delicious buffet lunch, served in a dining tent, so you're always close to nature. After lunch, get ready for some rock climbing and rappelling, or relax for a while. In the evening, you can savour a cup of hot tea and cookies, after which you can spend time playing volleyball or badminton. As the sun goes down, it’s time to head out for a short night hike where you can witness the jungle by dark in all its glory. Head back to the camp and sit by the bonfire to warm your body and your heart. Enjoy a wholesome dinner, and then retire to bed. Overnight in your cosy tent.

You'll check into comfortable tents with two cots, foam mattresses, clean bed linen and pillows. The toilets are common, and a little distance away, with both Western/Indian style flushing toilets with running water. On camp, you can play games like basketball, volleyball, and more. In the evening, a bonfire is lit, and you'll enjoy some light snacks. After a buffet dinner, you'll retire to your cottages.

Wake up to the chirping of the birds and the gentle lapping of the river nearby. Witness the most beautiful morning as you enjoy your cup of tea outdoors in the fresh morning air. After that, tuck into a hearty breakfast and head out for your rafting adventure. You'll assemble at Marine Drive and get your briefing and your equipment. On this 16 km river rafting stretch from Marine Drive to Rishikesh, you will hit some of the most exciting rapids on the Ganga like Return to Sender, Roller Coaster, Golf Course, Club house, Initiation, Double Trouble and Hilton. At the end, you'll float slowly past temples and ashrams and ghats to a peaceful stretch, where you can try body surfing and cliff jumping. Trip ends after rafting.

For breakfast, you'll be served pure vegetarian food, in a buffet system so that everyone can eat to their heart's content. You can expect eggs, toast, jam, butter, parathas, coffee and tea on the menu. You'll head out for a thrilling rafting session after this, as well as a session of cliff-jumping and body surfing. Trip ends after this.

For cancellations made 7-15 days before departure of Rishikesh rafting trip: 50% cancellation charges of total amount.

For cancellations made up to 5 days before departure of Rishikesh rafting trip: 60% cancellation charges, or no refund.

Vehicles beyond 27-seater buses are not allowed to ply in hilly areas.

The road leading to the camp from Rishikesh remains closed between 8 pm to 6 am.

The operator reserves the right to alter or cancel this Rishikesh rafting trip depending upon the prevailing conditions.

All bookings are subject to availability and will be confirmed only by payment of non-refundable advance.

The standard check-in time is 12:00 noon and check-out time is 10:00 am. Early check-in and late check-outs can be made possible on request but are subject to availability.

Children under 6 will stay for free, but cannot do any of the activities. Children between 6-12 are charged 50% of the adult cost, and will need to show ID. Any child under 12 years cannot be taken rafting in Rishikesh.
