    Imagine waking up to the sound of the Ganges outside your tent, with starry skies overhead and the sounds of silence and nature around. This camping and rafting adventure offers you all this, plus a chance to try out a whole bunch of exciting adventures!

    You'll get to experience one of the best river rafting experiences available in India, along with the thrill of cliff jumping and swimming in the pristine waters of the Ganges. Your rafting trip starts at Shivpuri, and lasts for 16 kms over two hours. You'll also be able to try your hand at rappelling, rock-climbing and trekking at the campsite, and go body-surfing and cliff-jumping after your rafting experience. If you're looking for a thrilling adventure, this one's for you.

    Destination

    You'll be staying at a delightful riverside campsite, located inside a national park. The sound of the river fills the air, lulling you to sleep at night. There are mountains all around, and the weather is pleasant, even cool in the evenings.

    You'll stay in comfortable tents with bedding, neat western/Indian toilets with flush and running water. Apart from your thrilling rafting session, you may explore the forests with short hikes. The campsite hosts a bonfire, every night where you can gather and have fun. Alternatively, you can also head out for the Ganga Aarti ceremony at Rishikesh.

  • Day 1 of the Rishikesh rafting trip: Arrive at Rishikesh

    Check in at noon. You'll be given a short briefing about the campsite, and your tents will be allocated to you. Enjoy a delicious lunch, and then decide what you'd like to do. You can try your hand at the various adventure sports on the campsite: rock climbing, rappelling, etc. Take a break for evening tea and cookies, and then head out for a sunset hike. You'll return to a bonfire, which is very welcome as the evening turns into a cold night. The cold mountain air gives you a great appetite, just in time for a delicious hot dinner. At night, you'll retire to the tents, and fall into your cots. Overnight at Rishikesh campsite in tents.

    Spend the night at Camp Wildex

    You'll check in to a comfortable, spacious twin-sharing tents with groundsheets and mesh windows to keep insects out. Each tent has cots with mattresses, sheets, pillows, and blankets, and is on a raised platform with a verandah area. The toilets are a little distance away, with both Western/Indian style flushing toilets with running water. There is also a separate bathing area.

    For cancellations made on or more than 15 days before departure of the Rishikesh rafting trip: 75% refund.

    For cancellations made 7-14 days before departure of the Rishikesh rafting trip: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 7 days before departure of the Rishikesh rafting trip: No refund.

    No show: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting any transaction charges.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers younger than 14 years of age are not allowed to participate in rafting or adventure activities.

    The campsite has common charging points in the hall area, where you may charge your cell phones and other gadgets.

    Travellers are required to adhere to instructions of the rafting instructor during the Rishikesh rafting trip.

    Consumption of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited during the trip.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    Bookings for children younger than 4 years are not charged, without an extra bed. Bookings for children between the ages of 5-9 years are charged at a 50% discounted price. Bookings for children older than 9 years is charged at full price.

    The public access road from Rishikesh city to the campsite is closed between 20:00 hrs to 06:00 hrs every night. Please arrange your travel plans accordingly.

    The tour operator reserves the right to cancel or alter the itinerary of the Rishikesh rafting to ensure maximum safety for travellers as well as staff.

    Travellers will be required bear any additional costs arising due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, road blocks etc.
