This trek is relatively easy and is great for first time trekkers, photographers and nature lovers.

    Destination

The trek to Rajmachi is among the most popular routes for trekking enthusiasts in the Sahyadri range. Ideal for fit beginners as well as experienced trekkers, the trail has a lot to offer in terms of views and an overall experience.

The Rajmachi fort rests at a height of 2710 ft and was built by Shivaji in the 17th century. There are 2 routes to get to the fort - the first one is from Karjat, which is more difficult, and the second is from Lonavala. You will be covering both these routes. The trail on both the routes passes through a dense forest and participants can discover different species of birds and animals. Once on top, participants have enough time to explore Manranjan, Shrivardhan and the Rajmachi lake.
