This weekend, plan a night trek to the mesmerising hills of Ramanagara for a fun session of midnight rappelling. You’ll experience the thrills of trekking in the night with only torches to light your trail as the eerie sounds of the forest surround you. It's a short, easy trek along a trail covered with sparse vegetation, rocks, and loose soil, and after that, you'll strap into a harness for a thrilling rappelling session. At the end, you'll gather around a campfire and relax for a while, and then drift off to sleep in sleeping bags, under the clear, starry skies. In the morning, you'll head back to Bangalore. This is a great trip for a gang of friends looking for a quick, offbeat getaway from the city.
NOTE: Sleeping bags will be handed out at the start of the trek, and each participant will have to carry their own.
Ramanagara is about 50 kms from Bangalore city, and has huge mountains and granite boulders that are great for activities like rock climbing, rappelling and trekking.
