    Take on the challenge of rappelling down a mountain cliff as a waterfall gushes forth over you. You'll be stepping down slippery surfaces of the cliff, with cool water washing you down. Strapped in with a harness, you'll be guided by a tour leader as you make your way down the 75 feet tall waterfall. To reach the waterfall, you'll take on a 1-hr trek from Bhivpuri. The trek begins along a route surrounded by farmlands, but soon passes under forest cover over hilly terrain. A great way to spend your weekend, this trip is ideal for fit beginners as well as experienced trekkers.

    NOTE: Travellers are advised to carry their own packed lunch, since the meal package includes only breakfast.

    Located near Karjat, close to Matheran, the Bhivpuri waterfall is located in the midst of a sprawling monsoon jungle. The waterfall, named Bekare, turns into a popular spot for rappelling in the monsoon as the rain water begins gushing down the cascading mountain cliff. After the rappelling activity, you can rest among the lush greenery surrounding the waterfall and dip your feet in the pond, under the waterfall.

  • Go waterfall rappelling at Bhivpuri!

    Arrive at Bhivpuri Road railway station by 08:00 hrs. Here, you will meet your tour leader and fellow travellers, and proceed for a short trek to the Bhivpuri waterfall. After arriving at the waterfall after a 1-hr trek, the tour leader will conduct a short briefing session, where you'll be informed on proper rappelling procedures and techniques. Wait for your turn down the waterfall, and spend some time exploring the terrain surrounding you.

    Proceed to suit up in a harness and rappel down the waterfall, when your turn arrives. The tour leader will guide you on how to undertake the activity, and you'll have learned from watching other travellers rappel down as well. Walk back to Bhivpuri Road railway station and arrive by 14:00 hrs. Your trip ends here.

    For cancellations made more than 3 days prior to departure of the Bhivpuri rappelling trip: 100% refund.

    For cancellations made on or less than 3 days prior to departure of the Bhivpuri rappelling trip: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting any transaction charges.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to adhere to instructions of the tour guide during the rappelling trip to Bhivpuri.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Consumption of alcohol, drugs, tobacco products and cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the rappelling trip to Bhivpuri.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    Travellers from Mumbai may board the local train to Karjat departing CSMT railway station by 06:10 hrs and arrive at Bhivpuri Road railway station by 07:55 hrs. Tardiness is arriving at the pick-up point will lead to missing the trip, without any refund.

    Travellers from Pune and other outstation cities will be given preference during the rappelling activity, to allow them enough time to return back to their base city on time.

    Lunch is not included in this package, but travellers may be assisted with arranging lunch, if notified at the time of booking.

    The tour operator reserves the right to cancel or alter the itinerary of the rappelling trip to Bhivpuri to maximize the safety of travellers as well as staff.

    Travellers will be required to bear any additional costs arising due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, road blocks etc.
