    Embark on this moderately easy trek which takes you to the jewel of forts, the Ratangad Fort. The trail begins in thick forests and cuts through lush greenery, passing various streams and waterfalls. At the top, you'll get to explore the ruins of the ancient fort, along with water tanks and huge caves. And you'll be treated to magnificent views of the Sahyadris, including Kalsubai and Konkan Kada.

    Destination

    Ratangad Fort is located in the forests of Kalsubai Harishchandragad Wildlife Sanctuary, within the Western Ghats. It overlooks the vast expanse of Lake Arthur and Bhandardhara. The fort is four centuries old and is a great destination for photographers, history buffs, and nature lovers. The best time to visit Ratangad is during the monsoons when the landscape is flourishing with lush greenery.

    Travellers are required to adhere to the instructions of the trek leader during the trek to Ratangad.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    No refund will be provided for any cancellations once the Ratangad Fort trek is booked.

  • Day 1 of the Ratangad Fort Trek: Depart from Mumbai

    Report to Chitra Cinema in Dadar East by 22:30 hrs today, from where you'll begin your overnight journey to the base village. Since it is an overnight journey, you may even carry a shawl or a blanket. You'll reach the base village early in the morning.

    Day 2 of the Ratangad Fort Trek: Trek to Ratangad, and Return to Mumbai

    You'll reach the base village in the morning, and begin your trek to Ratangad. You'll reach the top in a few hours and spend some time explroring the historic fort, after which you'll return to the base village. You'll then board the bus back to Mumbai. You'll reach there by 22:00 hrs. Your trip ends here.

    You'll be picked up from Dadar at 22:30 hrs, and begin your overnight journey to the base village. No meals are provided today, but remember to have a light dinner before boarding the transit bus.

    Day 2 of the Ratangad Fort Trek: Trek to Ratangad, and Return to Mumbai

    Your journey ends before nightfall.

    Today's meal package includes breakfast and lunch, both served at the base village before and after the trek, respectively. You'll depart for Mumbai in the late afternoon and you'll reach there by 22:00 hrs, depending on traffic conditions.
