• Trek to Roopkund

Set off on a challenging trek to Roopkund lake. Nestled in the Garhwal Himalayas, this mysterious lake is surrounded by human and horse skeletons whose origins baffled experts for decades. The lake is frozen for most of the year, but during September and October when the lake thaws, you'll be able to see the skeletons that lie underwater too.

You will trek along the banks of the Neelganga River, past charming pahadi villages, and up into the expansive twin meadows of Ali and Bedni Bugyal. From here, you'll be able to see spectacular views of snow-capped peaks like Trishuli, Kedarnath, Chaukhamba and Nanda Ghunti.

NOTE: This is a challenging trek and it is advisable to have previous high-altitude trekking experience. You must be prepared for extremely cold nights and unpredictable weather on the trek.

Roopkund is a shallow glacial lake in the Trishul Massif. The lake is completely deserted, and lies at an altitude of 16,499 feet. Because of the altitude and location, it is covered in snow for most of the year, and you can expect windy, unpredictable weather on the day you trek to Roopkund. The entire area around the lake is desolate and uninhabited, and you'll only spend a short while up here. However, the rest of the trek is beautiful and green, with forests and meadows to explore.

'We have availed the service from TGN for our family trip to Andaman & Nicobar Islands in January 2018................We are superbly amazed to have chosen TGN.. Our first day at Port Blair was really amazing with the visits to the North Bay, the Ross Islands, the Corbyn's Cove Beach, the Cellular Jail.. This was fun filled with the first time experiences in Snorkeling & Jet Skiing. Our Second day included the visits to Cellular Jail, Marine Museum, Anthropological Museum, Chatham Saw Mill and expedition to Havelock Island. Third day was again fun filled including visits to Radhnagar Beach and Scuba Diving. Fourth day included the super amazing experience of Kayaking and expedition to Neil Island. This also included the visits to Natural Howrah Bridge at Neil and the glorious sunset at the Laxmanpur Beach. The fifth day included the Glass Bottom Boat ride in the heavenly views at the Neil all surrounded with the Corals and Marine world and way back to Port Blair with handful of souvenirs. The last day we were back from the serene world with a lot of memories. We really appreciate the hospitality and the friendliness of all the tour managers and the guides at all the stages of our trip. All the bookings were really taken a great care of at all the stages.
