    The PADI Scuba Diver course in the Gili Islands is the perfect course for those who want to earn a certification but don’t have the time to indulge in a full-fledged course.

    You’ll spend the first day mastering the basics of scuba diving through theory lessons and pool practice under the supervision and guidance of a skilled instructor. The next day, you’ll head out to the water and complete 2 open water dives. Each dive last for 45 minutes and take you as deep as 40 feet into the water. As the Gili Islands are famous for their marine life, these waters are gifted with vast coral reefs teeming with exotic fish.

    At the end of the course, you’ll be given your PADI Scuba Diver certificate which enables you to dive up to 40 feet in any dive site around the world.

    Destination

    A popular destination for beach lovers and divers, Gili Islands are known for their white sand beaches, line of palm trees and coral reefs just offshore. Ranging from shallow reefs to deeper depths dive site, based on the ocean currents, tide and weather conditions, you’ll be taken to 2 of the best dive spots.

    Home to a diverse marine ecosystem, once you’re underwater expect to spot a wide variety of crustaceans, turtles, squids, octopus, clownfish, puffer fish, manta rays, sting rays, cuttle fish, sweetlips and more.

    For this trip you’ll catch the boat from the harbor just outside the dive centre and sail to your dive spots by a traditional Jukung style boat that can accommodate up to 30 people. No meals are provided during this course, but as the dive centre is a part of a resort, you can easily pick-up something from its multi-cuisine restaurant.

  • Day 1 of the PADI Scuba Diver course in the Gili Islands: Theory and confined pool practice

    Eat a healthy breakfast and arrive at the dive centre in Gili Trawangan by 10:00 hrs. As the PADI Scuba Diver course is a beginners course, you'll start your first day with some theory sessions.

    After theory you'll then move on to the pool practise which teaches you different dive techniques in the confines of a swimming pool. You'll even learn underwater breathing techniques, how to keep your mask water free amongst other skills. Everything will be taught by a highly trained PADI instructor. Once you're confident and ready you'll end your class for the day. From the dive centre, you'll then make your way back to your hotel.

    For cancellations made on the depature day Scuba Diver course in Gili Islands: 75% refund of the trip cost.

    For cancellations made after completing the pool session: 50% refund of the trip cost.

    No show: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 500 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    The minimum age to undertake the PADI Scuba Diver course in the Gili Islands is 10 years.

    For the PADI Scuba Diver course in the Gili Islands there are no more than 4 divers per guide.

    The cost for the Government Marine Park fee is INR 550 per person.

    For this trip underwater photos/videos can be provided at INR 2600 for a single person, INR 1850 per person for a group of 2 and INR 1050 per person for a group of 4 or more.

    Travelers from outside Indonesia are requested to carry enough cash in the local currency to cover tips for staff and other incidental expenses for the PADI Scuba Diver coursein the Gili Islands.
