The SSI Open Water Diver course is the most popular diving course in the world, and for good reason. When you're certified to dive to 18 metres, you can explore a wider range of dive sites, including shipwrecks and coral gardens with unusual marine life. You'll also have a chance to see bigger fish and dive within a more experienced community. In the SSI Open Water Diver (OWD) course, you'll be certified to go to a maximum depth of 18 metres or 60 feet. You'll train in 5 theory modules, practise in shallow water, and will enjoy 4 open water dives.
NOTE: To earn the SSI Open Water Diver (OWD) certification, you'll be expected to swim 200 metres (with any swimming stroke) and float for 10 minutes in open water.
IMPORTANT: This course can be done in 3 or 4 days, depending on your comfort levels and ability.

You'll have to report by 07:00 hrs at the dive centre. Here you'll meet your instructors and crew, eat a light snack, and begin with the theory sessions. You'll head out to practise your newly learned skills in shallow water. If you're ready, you will do your first open water dive today. Lunch and snacks are served between dives and training sessions. By around 14:30 hours, you'll return to the dive center. Here you'll log your progress and complete any of the paperwork required. After that, the day is yours to use as you please.
This is a day trip so no accommodation is included.
You'll be provided with boat transfers to and from the dive sites. Between training and dives, there is a light lunch and snacks on the boat, as well as plenty of drinking water for all.

The cancellation policy is as follows:
If you cancel the SSI Open Water Diver (OWD) course 30 days or more before the departure date: 100% of the trip cost will be refunded, minus any transaction charges.
If you cancel the SSI Open Water Diver (OWD) course between 29 to 7 days before the departure date: 50% of the trip cost will be refunded, minus any transaction charges.
If you cancel the SSI Open Water Diver (OWD) course less than 7 days before the departure date: No refund.
No show: No refund.
No refund is given for cancellations on any bookings made for dates between December 15-January 15.
You must adhere to the instructions of the dive instructor at all times.
All equipment for the SSI Open Water Diver (OW) course in Andamans will be provided by the operator and participants must use them with care.
Participants must not be absent for any module of the scuba diving course in Andamans. If you miss/fail to complete any of the sections of the course, you cannot be awarded the SSI Open Water Diver (OWD) course certification. There will be no refunds in this case.
Smoking, consumption of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited during the SSI Open Water Diver (OWD) course in Havelock.
Touching or teasing marine life, harming corals, collecting shells or corals is strictly prohibited while scuba diving in Havelock.
