    If you’re short on time but wish to have an invigorating experience in Bali, then this half day PADI Discover Scuba Diving in the Gili Islands is the ideal fit for you. Conducted over a few hours, you’ll get to learn the basics of diving, embark on your first dive and witness the incredible marine life of Indonesia.

    You’ll start off by learning a bit of theory, followed by honing your dive skills through pool sessions before heading out to the sea to embark on your dive. Home to some of the world’s best dive spots, the waters of Gili Trawangan are teeming with clusters of corals and exotic fish. You’ll be taken to one of the best dive spots within these islands where you’ll indulge in a 45-minute dive that goes as deep as 40 feet into the water.

    A popular destination for divers from around the world, the Gili Islands consist of a group of 3 islands that lie just off the coast of the northwest Lombok Island in Indonesia. Some of the popular dive spots are Turtle Heaven, the Gili Air Wall, Bio Rocks and Halik and Deep Halik reefs.

    For the Discover Scuba Diving trip, based on your diving skill, ocean currents, climate and tide conditions you’ll be taken to the best dive site toi explore the tropical marine life the Bali Sea.

    For this trip, you’ll catch the boat from the harbor just outside the dive centre and sail to your dive spots by a traditional jukung style boat that can accommodate up to 30 people. No meals are provided during this course, but as the dive centre is a part of a resort, you can purchase something from its multi-cuisine restaurant.

  • Theory, practice and 1 scuba dive!

    Arrive at the dive centre in Gili Trawangan by 10:00 hrs today. As Discover Scuba Diving is a beginners program, you'll begin your day with some theory sessions. Once you finish learning theory, you'll then move on to the pool training. Everything is taught by a highly trained professional PADI instructor.

    Once you finish theory and practise, you'll then head out to the pier and board your boat towards your dive site. Once you reach the dive spot, you'll take the plunge and dive for 45 minutes.

    At the end of your dive you'll sail back to the dive centre from where you'll depart for your hotel. Your trip ends here.

    For cancellations made on the depature day Discover Scuba Diving trip in Gili Islands: 75% refund of the trip cost.

    For cancellations made after completing the pool session: 50% refund of the trip cost.

    No show: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 500 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    The minimum age to undertake half day Discover Scuba Diving trip in the Gili Islands is 10 years.

    For the half day Discover Scuba Diving trip in the Gili Islands there are no more than 4 divers per guide.

    The cost for the Government Marine Park fee is INR 550 per person.

    For this trip underwater photos/videos can be provided at INR 2600 for a single person, INR 1850 per person for a group of 2 and INR 1050 per person for a group of 4 or more.

    Travelers from outside Indonesia are requested to carry enough cash in the local currency to cover tips for staff and other incidental expenses for the half day Discover Scuba Diving in the Gili Islands.
