You’ll begin by learning the basics of scuba diving which includes understanding the different dive sites and the use of the equipment. Once you reach Racha Yai, you’ll practice dive techniques in shallow waters and once you’re prepared you’ll head out to your dive site and embark on a glorious 45-minute scuba dive that takes you to max depth of 40 feet. Once you’re underwater you’ll be exposed to gorgeous coral reefs teeming with many exotic fish. You’ll be able to spot different fish species and even swim with them, but more so, hone and practice your diving skills. But there’s no need to worry as throughout your dive you’ll have the guidance of your dive instructor.
Once you finish your dive you’ll return to the island, feast on a delicious lunch and then tour with other groups of travelers.
Simple and yet highly enjoyable – although this trip doesn’t offer any certification, it still gives you a starting point should you want to pursue diving further.

The Racha Islands are a group of 2 islands: Racha Yai and Racha Noi that are situated in the southeast of Phuket. Known for their white sand beaches, these islands are also famous for their crystal clear water, rich coral cover and beautiful fish life, making them a popular destination for divers. Collectively these islands house over 10 different dive spots.
For this Discover Scuba Diving trip you’ll board a large non ac boat from the Chalong Pier towards Racha Yai. The boat can accommodate up to 18 passengers and has the facility of a toilet. Based on ocean currents, tide and weather conditions you’ll be taken to the best dive spot for your thrilling Scuba Dive. Once you’re underwater expect to spot different fish species from large groupers to stone fish to sting rays, to clownfish to mackerel, different species of crustaceans and even some sharks.

Be ready at your hotel for a pick-up by 08:00 hrs. Pick-ups take place from Kata, Karon, Patong, Rawai and Chalong, however if you live beyond these areas then pick-ups can be arranged at an additional cost.
Once you're picked up you'll be taken to the Chalong Pier from where you'll board the boat towards the islands of Racha Yai. As it is a 1.5 hr boat ride, you'll undergo a thorough briefing of your upcomming Discover Scuba Diving trip in that duration. From safety lessons you're guide will instruct you about diving techniques and the use of the equipment.
Once you reach Racha Yai, you'll practise your dive skills in the shallow water and once you're confident, the instructor will take you to nearby coral reef to embark on a invigorating dive that goes upto 30 feet into the water. Your dive will last for 45 minutes where in you'll be exposed to the gorgeous fish life located in this region. Throughout your dive you'll also have the company and guidance of your instructor.
After you're dive you'll spend the rest of the afternoon feasting on some lunch followed by sunbathing, snorkeling or enjoying the tour of the island with the other groups of travelers. You can also embark on an additional dive at an additional cost.
Finally, by 17:00 hrs you'll return back to the Chalong Pier from where you'll be dropped back to your hotel. Your trip ends here.
