    SSI Advanced Open Water Diver Course in Phuket

    The SSI Advanced Open Water Diver course is a thrilling course for those who want to take the next step into the diving world. Extending over 2 days, you’ll embark on a total of 5 dives each lasting 45 minutes and taking you as deep as 100 feet into the water.

    On the first day, you’ll embark on the 2 mandatory dives: Deep and Navigation. Once you gain your confidence and enhance your diving skill, the next day you’ll embark on the 3 remaining dives. These dives will be of your choice from a set of electives offered to you. Ranging from Fish Identification to Underwater Photography to Night Dive to Perfect Buoyancy to Computer Dive – you’ll get to choose your pick.

    At the end of the course – if your requirements match you’ll be awarded the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver certificate which establishes you as an SSI AOWD Diver worldwide..

    Destination

    Due to a mix of a tropical climate coupled with beautiful surrounding islands – the waters of Phuket play home to a vast marine ecosystem.

    For the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver course based on your dive electives, you’ll have many choices of beautiful dive spots. These range from the Phi Phi Islands to Racha Noi and Racha Yai, to Shark Point, the King Cruiser Wreck or even the Anemone reef. Even though you’ll be diving as deep as 100 feet, these waters consist of crystal clear visibility maximizing your exposure to its exotic fish. From reef sharks to various crustaceans, to pufferfish, clownfish, you’ll catch sight of sting rays, manta rays, eels, shrimps, octopus and more.

    For these dives your boat will depart from the Ao Chalong Pier. Having a 61 people capacity your boat is well equipped with all the necessary amenities including toilets. You’ll also be offered your meals on board.

    SSI Advanced Open Water Diver Course in Phuket Photos

    Be ready at your hotel in Kata, Karon or Patong early today for a pick-up. You'll travel to the dive centre for a quick revision about your diving skills and picking up your equipment before heading to the water. For the SSI Advanced Open Diver course, you'll first undergo 2 compulsory dives: the Deep and the Navigation dives.

    For these dives you'll travel to some of Phuket's best dive spots, ranging from the Phi Phi Islands, the Racha Islands, Anemone Reef, Shark Point amongst others based on tide and weather conditions. Between your dives you'll also feast on meals and snacks. At the end of these dives you'll return to the dive centre from where you'll be dropped back to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day resting.

    You'll begin your course early with a pick-up from your hotel in Kata, Karon or Patong. En route your journey to the dive site, you'll be offered some breakfast and between your dives you'll enjoy some lunch. Besides this you'll also be given fresh fruits, snacks, water, tea and coffee. For those who have dietary restrictions or prefrences or prefer veg meals, a request should be sent to the operator before hand.     Follow the same routine as the previous day and arrive at the dive centre in the morning after an early pick-up. On the second day of your SSI Advanced Open Water Diver course, you'll embark on the 3 remaining dives from the options of the dive electives provided to you. These include Boat Dive, Perfect Buoyancy, Navigation, Underwarer Photography, Night/Limited Visibility diving, Computer and Nitrox. Once you reach you'll embark on these invigorating dives that go as deep as 100 feet and last for 45 minutes each. Between your dives, once again you'll feast on meals and snacks. At the end of your dives you'll return back to dive centre to fill out your log book and collect your certification. Please do note to recieve an SSI Advanced Open Water Diver certification you need to have a total of 24 logged dives including speciality dives). Once you collect your certificate you'll be dropped back to your hotel. Your trip ends here.

    On the last day of your SSI Advanced Open Water Water Diver course, you'll follow the same routine as the previous day and begin with a pick-up towards your dive Centre. After collecting your equipment based on your dive electives, you'll then head out to the water. Today's package includes meals of breakfast and lunch followed by snacks, fresh fruits, water, tea and coffee.
