The best way to reach Ao Nang is by flying into Krabi and then taking either a taxi, bus shuttle or regular bus to Ao Nang.
Considered as the most popular diving course, the PADI Open Water Diver course is conducted over 3 days and includes theory lessons, pool practice and 4 invigorating Open Water dives! If you’re ready to take the plunge and become a certified diver, then this is the ideal course for you.
You’ll start off with theory modules, knowledge reviews and a pop quiz. After this you’ll learn dive techniques and the use of equipment through pool sessions. On the remaining 2 days you’ll embark on 4 gorgeous dives of a maximum depth of 60 feet that last for 45 mins each. During each of these dives, you’ll get to chance to witness Koh Phi Phi’s rich coral life and hone your diving skills as a diver. For each of these dives you’ll also have the company of your dive instructor.
At the end of your dives, you’ll be a certified PADI Open Water Diver with a license that enables you to dive anywhere else in the world! It is a prerequisite if you want to pursue advanced diver courses.
