    The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course in Koh Tao is the ideal diving course for those who wish to explore the deeper crevices of Thailand’s fish-rich waters, whilst working their way up in the diving world. Taken after completing the PADI Open Water Diver course, this course is conducted over 2 days and includes a total of 5 dives, two of which are mandatory and the remaining three are electives.

    While the Deep and Navigation dives are compulsory, you have an option of dives to choose from for recreational. From Fish Identification to Search and Recovery, to Wreck, to even Boat dives, each option offers as much of a thrilling experience as the other. Each of these dives will last around 45 mins and will enable you to swim as deep as 100 feet into the water.

    At the end of this course, you’ll be a certified PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, which enables you to dive as deep as 100 feet into the water anywhere in the world!

    Located in the Chumphon Archipelago on the western shore of the Gulf of Thailand, Koh Tao is a beautiful island known for its scenic beaches, sparkling waters and a fantastic marine biodiversity. The waters around the island houses over 130 species of hard corals, 223 species of reef fish, and a high population of green turtles. Because of the gorgeous beauty it holds both above and below the surface, this island has become a popular destination for many divers from all over the world.

    During this PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course you’ll mainly be diving in Koh Tao, however you may even visit Sail Rock on Day 2, another beautiful diving island. Offering a wonderful wall for wall diving, this island is known for its pinnacle-like shape. In Sail Rock, expect to witness Barracudas, schools of Yellow Fusiliers, Giant Morays, Batfish, and perhaps even Whale Sharks amongst other sea creatures.

  • Day 1 of the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course in Koh Tao: 2 Mandatory Dives

    Eat a healthy breakfast and be ready at your hotel lobby in Koh Samui for a pick-up by 07:00 hrs. As it the first day of your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, you'll first revise everything you learned during your Open Water Diver course. Once you're ready you'll head towards Koh Tao to embark on 2 compulsory dives: the Deep dive and the Navigation dive. Lasting for 45 mins, each of these dives go as deep as 100 feet into the water. Between your dives you'll also have a lunch break either on the beach or on the boat. At the end of your dives return back to dive centre, where you can change and then get dropped back to your hotel.

    No accommodation is provided.

    Be ready at your hotel lobby in Koh Samui by 07:00 hrs. From there you'll be picked up and taken to the dive site to embark upon your dives. After completing your first dive, lunch will be served to you either on the boat or on the beach. Besides lunch, your package also includes fresh fruits, soft drinks and water. Once you finish both your dives you'll return back to the dive centre from where you'll be dropped back to your hotel.

    For cancellations made any time after Day 1 of the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course in Koh Tao: No refund.

    In case of no show: No refund.

    If the operator cancels the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course in Koh Tao due to any reason: 100% refund minus bank transfer charges.

    All refunds for PADI courses are provided minus the PADI materials provided to the customers.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    For the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course in Koh Tao, participants are required to visit the dive centre a day or two prior to the course date for a review session of your previous course.

    The minimum age for the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course in Koh Tao is 12 years.

    Travellers from outside Thailand are requested to carry enough cash in the local currency to cover tips to staff and other incidental expenses during the PADI Advanced Open Water Divier course in Koh Tao.
