    PADI OWD in Pattaya, Thailand

    Sign up for the most popular scuba diving course in the world and learn the essential skills of diving, from properly using the scuba equipment to navigating while underwater. Over the course of 4 days, in the turquoise, blue water of the Gulf of Thailand, you'll complete four open water dives, swimming down to a depth of 60 feet. Before you head out to the open sea, you'll prepare with theory lessons covering five modules and active training sessions in a swimming pool. A certified dive instructor will always be around to guide you throughout the course.

    Scuba diving near Pattaya is a popular adventure sport with fascinating dive sites sprinkled all around the Pattaya far islands, the Pattaya near islands and the Samae San islands. Depending on the exact dive spot selected by your dive instructors, you can expect to spot a wide range of marine life from moray eels, barracudas and sting rays to bamboo sharks, sea turtles and sea urchins.

    White sandy sea floors at the dive spots are well decorated with patches of vibrant coral reefs, large rocks and colourful sponges. Visibility conditions at almost all dive spots near Pattaya are relatively good for most of the year, with the normal range extending from 20-40 feet.

    PADI OWD in Pattaya, Thailand Photos

    You'll be picked-up from your hotel in Pattaya by 08:30 hrs. A private vehicle will transfer you to the dive center. Here, you'll meet your dive instructor and begin training for the PADI Open Water Diver certification. With video lessons and theory modules, you'll learn the basic principles of diving.

    You'll also get practical experience as you enter the swimming pool for active training sessions. You'll put the theory to test and prepare for tomorrow's open water dives. The day's session ends by 17:00 hrs. You'll be dropped-off back to your hotel in Pattaya. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

    You'll be picked-up from your hotel in Pattaya by 08:00 hrs. A private vehicle will transfer you to a boat that will take you to several of the dive sites in the Gulf of Thailand. As you enjoy a scenic boat ride, your dive instructor will continue briefing you on the specifics of today's dive sites.

    Over the course of the day, you'll complete two open water dives, swimming down to a maximum depth of 40 feet. Wearing a wetsuit, you'll work with your instructor to demonstrate your skills, practice essential techniques and simply swim around to explore the corals. Lunch is served on the boat, between the two dives. The day's session ends by late afternoon with a drop-off to your hotel in Pattaya. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

    Complete two open water dives in the Gulf of Thailand. Today's meal package includes lunch, served on the boat. A vegetarian lunch can be served only if prior notice is given.

    You'll be picked-up from your hotel in Pattaya by 08:00 hrs. Once again, a private vehicle will transfer you to a boat that will take you to several of the dive sites in the Gulf of Thailand. Over the course of the day, you'll complete two more open water dives, swimming down to a maximum depth of 60 feet. Today, you'll work with your dive instructor to complete any remaining tasks and put the finishing touches on your dive technique. Lunch is served on the boat, between the two dives. The day's session ends by late afternoon after a short exam to conclude your scuba diving course. Your trip ends here.
