    PADI Advanced Open Water in Koh Chang, Thailand

    Dive deeper than ever before, as deep as 100 feet, into the Gulf of Thailand and upgrade your scuba diving skills on this PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course in Koh Chang. Over the course of 5 open water dives, you'll begin by completing the two mandatory dives, the deep dive and underwater navigation dive. You'll proceed with three more elective dives, with choices ranging from the night dive to search & recovery dive. Another highlight of your dive course, you may even get to explore the underwater wreckage of HTMS Chang.

    Destination

    Go underwater in the dive spots around Koh Chang, one of the biggest islands in Thailand and home to the Koh Rang Marine Park. Most of these dive spots are teeming with a whole array of marine life like the moray eels, sting rays, scorpionfish, snappers and hundreds of tiny reef fish. The waters around these dive spots are usually calm, with a relatively good visibility of up to 30 feet. Divers in the course may also get to explore the wreck of the HTMS Chang, once a vessel of the Royal Thai Navy. Alongside scuba diving and snorkelling, the island of Koh Chang is also popular its soft and sandy beaches, the perfect place to relax after a day under water.

    PADI Advanced Open Water in Koh Chang, Thailand Photos

    If you're staying at a hotel on the west coast of Koh Chang, you'll be picked up in a shared taxi and driven to the dive center near the Bao Bang pier. Here, you'll meet your dive instructor. Today, you'll work with the instructor to revise the skills and techniques learned in your previous Open Water Diver certification. After a short refresher session, you'll head out to some of the dive spots around Koh Chang on a boat. Your dive instructor will continue to guide and train you as you complete three open water dives in the Gulf of Thailand.

    While you're underwater, you'll practice and demonstrate an advanced set of scuba diving skills required for the mandatory deep dive and underwater navigation dive. After the end of today's session by late afternoon, you'll be dropped back to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

    No accommodation is provided throughout the trip.

    Avail a pick-up service from any of the hotels on Koh Chang's west coast to the dive center near the Bao Bang pier. If you're not staying at a hotel on the west coast, you'll need to arrange your own transport in local, hired cabs/taxis to the dive center. Complete two open water dives in the Gulf of Thailand.     Take the morning transfer to the dive center near the Bao Bang pier. Once again, you'll head out to some of the dive spots around Koh Chang on a boat. Complete two more open water dives in the Gulf of Thailand. While you're underwater, you'll practice and demonstrate an advanced set of scuba diving skills required for the elective dives. Depending on your ability and weather conditions, you can even do a wreck dive to explore the HTMS Chang. Transfer back to the dive center, where you'll give a short quiz and complete the paperwork for your certification. After the end of today's session by late afternoon, you'll be dropped back to your hotel. Your trip ends here.

    For cancellations made after 20:00 hrs on the day prior to the start date of PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course in Koh Chang: 80% refund.

    In case of no show: no refund.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the dive instructor during this PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course in Koh Chang.

    Consumption of alcohol, drugs, tobacco products and cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the trip.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    All travellers are required to have the PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent before booking this course.

    Hotel pick-up and drop-off is included in this package, only if your hotel is situated along the west coast of Koh Chang. Accordingly, please inform the tour operator regarding the address of your hotel a week prior to your scheduled course start date.

    Travellers from outside Thailand are requested to carry enough cash in the local currency to cover tips to staff and other incidental expenses.
