Embark on this night trek to the fortress hill of Skandagiri and catch an exceptionally beautiful sunrise in Bangalore. The trail takes you through the dry, rocky patches of the hill up to the sunrise point and the ancient fort atop the hill. On the way, you will pass Papagni Mutt, which is one of the oldest mutts of Karnataka and a few caves. If you are lucky, you will get to see a blanket of clouds expanding towards the horizons from the summit of the hill.
One of the most famous weekend destinations in the vicinity of Bangalore is Skandagiri Hill. It is a fortress hill which is also known as Kalavara Durga. It is located near Nandi Hills at an altitude of 4757 feet and is famous for its sunset point. The terrain of the hill is dry, mostly covered in bushes with patches of rocks. The trek is not challenging and is suitable for beginners.

You will be picked up from the pick-up point at 22:15 hrs and driven to the base of Skandagiri Hill. Once there, you will have a brief campfire session after which you will begin your nigght trek to the hill top. Once at the top, you will explore the fortress and catch the sunrise.
