12-Day Journey to Spiti Valley

This epic road trip to Spiti Valley takes you deep into the desolate, gorgeous landscape of the Indian Himalayas that offer a rare and beautiful combination of Indo-Tibetan culture. You will visit the ancient monasteries of Key, Dhankar and Tabo, where the cool air is scented with incense and the walls are decorated with Buddhist art. You will drive up to 15,000 feet to visit Komik, one of Asia's highest inhabited villages, and send a postcard from Hikkim, the highest post-office in the world. Visit the small, discreet village of Gue and take a look at the only “mummy“ found and preserved in India.

During the trip, you will stay with local families in home stays and guest houses at the quaint villages of Nako, Langza, Sarahan and Kalpa. You will also spend a night camping besides the famed Chandratal Lake. Cancellation policy

For cancellations made 21 days or more before departure of the Spiti Valley road trip: 90% refund.

For cancellations made 15-21 days before departure of the Spiti Valley road trip: 75% refund.

For cancellations made 8-14 days before departure of the Spiti Valley road trip: 50% refund.

For cancellations made less than 8 days before departure of the Spiti Valley road trip: No refund.

All refunds will be processed after deducting any transaction charges.

Rules on trip

Travellers are required to adhere to the instructions of the tour guide during the road trip to Spiti Valley.

Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

Consumption of liquor, drugs, tobacco products and cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the road trip to Spiti Valley.

Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

During this road trip to Spiti Valley, travellers will visit destinations at altitudes from 9,000 ft to 14,500 ft and may experience altitude sickness.

Spiti Valley is located at an altitude with no internet connectivity and limited road access/availability of services. Travellers are advised to take such circumstances under consideration before booking the trip.

The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap, accident or loss of life during the trip.

The tour operator reserves the right to change or cancel the itinerary of this trip due to bad weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff.
