5-Day Spiti Valley Road Trip (Ex-Manali)

Witness the raw, natural beauty of the Spiti Valley as you take 5 days to visit monasteries and villages hidden away in Himachal's mountain peaks. You'll go camping under the stars at the Chandratal Lake, visit the 1,000-year old Key Monastery, travel to the highest post office in the world at Hikkim, try your luck at spotting centuries-old fossils at Langza and explore the high-altitude Pin Valley national park.

En route to such destinations dipped in the charm of Buddhist culture, you'll travel in a trusty Tempo Traveller through the cold and arid desert of Spiti and across mountain passes as high as 15,000 ft.

Destination

Standing in stark contrast to Manali's heavily wooded mountains, Spiti Valley is known for barren mountain ranges that stretch endless across north-eastern Himachal. These mountain ranges are home to some of the most heavenly landscapes, offering views of rugged and rocky mountain slopes and snow-capped peaks on the horizon. Spiti is also home to some of the highest inhabited villages in Asia, from Komic to Hikkim, where clusters of mud-bricked homes form tiny communities of shepherds and farmers.
