    Take a road trip through the imposing mountains of the Spiti Valley and get a front row seat to view some of the most breathtaking landscapes in India. You'll be surrounded by barren mountains painted in shades of brown and grey, with snow-capped peaks towering as high as 14,500 feet above you.

    On this Spiti Valley road trip, you'll stay in tents pitched near the famed, crescent-shaped Chandratal Lake, visit the world's highest post office at Hikkim, explore one of Asia's highest inhabited villages at Kibber and Komic and try your hand at spotting fossils at Langza. En route, you'll also go on short treks to visit the lakes of Dhankar and Chandratal.

    Spiti Valley, located in northern Himachal Pradesh, connects the neighbouring valleys of Lahaul and Tibet.   • Day 1 of the Spiti Valley road trip: Manali to Kaza

    Arrive at the pick-up point on Manali's Mall Road by 05:00 hrs. Here, you'll board private, shared vehicles and begin your journey by travelling to Kaza, the capital of Spiti Valley. You'll drive across the Rohtang Pass, and cross a number of small river streams and rivulets. A small distance from the Rohtang Pass, the road forks with one heading to Ladakh and the other heading to Spiti. You'll take the one to Spiti and arrive at the town of Kaza by evening. Overnight at Kaza in hotel rooms.

    Your Spiti Valley road trip begins as you board private, shared vehicles from the Manali Mall Road by 05:00 hrs. You'll be accommodated at Kaza in hotel rooms on a twin-sharing basis. Today's meal package includes breakfast at Marhi, lunch at Batal and dinner at the hotel in Kaza.

    For cancellations made 3-6 days before departure of the Spiti Valley road trip: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made 0-2 days before departure of the Spiti Valley road trip: No refund.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to adhere to the instructions of the tour guide during the road trip to Spiti Valley.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Consumption of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited during the trip.

    During this road trip to Spiti Valley, travellers will visit destinations at altitudes from 9,000 ft to 14,500 ft and may experience altitude sickness.

    Spiti Valley is located at an altitude with no internet connectivity and moderate road access/availability of services. Travellers are advised to take such circumstances under consideration before booking the trip.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap, accident or loss of life during the trip.

    The tour operator reserves the right to change or cancel the itinerary of this trip due to bad weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff.
