This 10-day biking expedition across Spiti Valley is for those who have a passion to ride on seemingly endless roads. This adrenaline-pumping biking tour will take through challenging terrains and highest passes, to some of the remotest villages of the country. It will surely feed your appetite for thrill and adventure.

You will get to see the vast panoramic beauty of the desolate Spiti Valley along with the enchanting views of the Himalayas. You will ride through one of the highest motorable roads in the world: Rohtang La. You will get to explore the unique Indo-Tibetan culture. You will visit the famous Key Monastery and some remote vilalges like Langza, Hikkim, etc. You can even send a post card to your loved ones from the world's highest post office in Hikkim. You will also spend a night next to the gorgeous Chandrataal. All on the roaring Royal Enfields in the company of likeminded bikers.

The Spiti Valley is a cold desert valley located at the intersection of India and Tibet. It is emerging as one of the most popular biking destinations in the country because of its incredible beauty, offering some of the best views in the world. You will ride through the barren desert, always in the company of the imposing snow capped Himalayan mountains. You will also ride through the Rohtang Pass located in the Pir Panjal Range. The ride will take you from the lush greenery of Manali to the brown desert of Spiti, all in a duration of 10 days.

You will check out of the hotel after having a breakfast and depart for Chitkul, the last village of India on your motorcycle. Your route will take you through magnificent landscapes of the Kinnaur Valley alone the banks of Satlug River. You will reach Chitkul by evening. Overnight in tents at Chitkul campsite.

You will depart for Kaza after an early breakfast. You will cross into the Spiti Valley today through Sumdo Border. You will also visit the Nako and Tabo villages en route, and cross the Ka loops too. Overnight in tents at Kaza campsite.

Today, you will head for sigheeing after having a quick breakfast. You will visit the famous Key Monastery, Komic, Langza and Hikkim. Don't forget to send a post card from the world's highest post office in Hikkim. You will then return back to Kaza campsite. Overnight in tents at Kaza campsite.

Today, you will have an early breakfast and begin your ride to Chandrataa;. You will visit the highest bridge in Asia at Chicham village and do a pit stop at Losar, where you will have your lunch. You will reach Chandrataal by evening. At night, you will get the spectacular view of the Milky Way, away from the light pollution. Overnight in tents at Chandrataal campsite.

Today, you will have an early breakfast and ride out for Manali via Rohtang Pass, which is one of the highest motorable roads in the world at an altitude of 13,050. You will reach Manali by evening and head out on a Old Manali Café crawl and explore Manali. Overnight in hotel at Manali.

Cancellation policy

For cancellations made 30 days before the start date of the trip: 50%refund.

For cancellations made 15-30 days before the start date of the trip: 25% refund.

For cancellations made within 0-15 days before the start date of the trip: No refund.

In case of no show: no refund.

All refunds will be processed after deducting any transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

Rules on trip

The motorbike rider as well as the pillion rider is required to wear a helmet at all times while riding the motorbike. A safety helmet will be provided to the travellers by the tour operator.

Travellers are required to carry a valid, govt-issued photo ID card and a valid driver's licence.

Travellers are required to follow all instructions of the road captain during the Spiti motorbiking trip.

Consumption of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited during the trip. Travellers suspected of intoxication will not be allowed to participate in the trip.

Travellers getting their own motorbike must ensure that the vehicle is registered to the rider's name and all the relevant documents (pollution check, insurance and driver's licence etc) are in order.

Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

Travellers will be required to pay a refundable, security deposit of INR 10,000 per motorbike. Any major damage or loss to the motorbike and use of any spare parts will be deducted from the security deposit. This deposit is payable directly to the tour operator and any disputes involving the deposit will be settled between the tour operator and the traveller.

Travellers are only allowed to store one rucksack in the support vehicle. Any extra luggage will be charged extra if stored in the support vehicle.

If any traveller wishes to exit the tour mid-way for any medical or personal reasons, an additional charge of transporting the motorbike from the leaving point to the end point will be applicable.

The tour operator reserves the right to alter or cancel the itinerary of this Spiti motorbiking trip due to any unforeseen circumstances to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff. Costs arising due to such a change in itinerary will be borne by the traveller.

Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.
