    Embark on this exciting road trip which begins in the buzzing town of Shimla and takes you to the colourful town of Manali, cutting across the Spiti Valley. On this road trip, you'll get to explore the breathtaking landscape of the cold, desert Spiti valley, and experience the fascinating culture of remote villages.

    The highlight of this trip is the adventurous drive through Rohtang Pass, and a visit to Hikkim which is home to the highest post office in the world. You'll also visit Pin Valley, Key Monastery, Chitkul, and various other remote villages on this road trip.

    NOTE: A minimum of 5 travellers is required to book the Spiti Valley road trip.

    Destination

    Spiti Valley is a cold desert valley located in the Himalayas of north-eastern Himachal Pradesh. It is a valley which connects India to Tibet. The terrain of the valley is rugged, with towering mountains all around. And the landscape is bleached white and grey due to the extreme weather conditions of the region.

    Spiti is home to various remote villages that are tucked in the folds of the mountains, with their unique culture and heritage, numerous monasteries with their unique histories, and some of the most adventurous roads in the country with their own challenges and hairpin bends.

  • Day 1 of the Spiti Valley Road Trip: Arrive in Narkanda

    Today, you'll arrive at Narkanda by 09:00-10:00 hrs and meet your tour guide and fellow travellers. After checking in at the hotel, you'll be taken for a short guided tour of the Kothgarh Apple Factory. In the evening, there will be a bonfire session. Overnight in otel at Narkanda.

    For cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the Spiti Valley road trip: 90% refund.

    For cancellations made between 15-29 days prior to the Spiti Valley road trip: 60% refund.

    For cancellations made 8-14 days prior to the Spiti Valley road trip: 35% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the Spiti Valley road trip: No refund.

    In case of no show: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to adhere to the instructions of the tour guide during the road trip to Spiti Valley.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Consumption of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited during the trip.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    A minimum of INR 10,000 is required to book the Spiti Valley road trip, the balance amound has to be paid 30 days before the departure date.

    During this road trip to Spiti Valley, travellers will visit destinations at altitudes from 9,000 ft to 14,500 ft and may experience altitude sickness.

    Spiti Valley is located at an altitude with no internet connectivity and moderate road access/availability of services. Travellers are advised to take such circumstances under consideration before booking the trip.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap, accident or loss of life during the trip.

    The tour operator reserves the right to change or cancel the itinerary of this trip due to bad weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff.
