    Embark on this 11 day adventurous journey through the Spiti Valley where you will explore the rich natural and cultural wonders of not only Spiti but also of Tirthan Valley. On this tour, you'll visit Tirthan Valley and drive through the lush greenery of the valley, and then make your way into the arid landscape of Spiti. All the while, you'll be making halts at various remote villages where you'll explore the local lifestyle and culture. You'll also cross three high altitude passes of Jalori, Rohtang, and Kumzum; and you'll visit the last village of India towards China at Chitkul, world's highest village connected with roads at Komic, and world's highest post office at Hikkim. Other cultural stops include the ancient monasteries of Gue, Key, and Tabo. You'll also spend a night on the banks of the enchanting Chandratal Lake.

    NOTE: A minimum of 4 travellers are required to book this trip.

    Destination

    Spiti Valley, located at the intersection of India and Tibet, is a cold desert valley perched high in the heart of Himalayas. It is a popular tourist destination in India, famous for its dramatic landscape that consists of barren valleys, rugged rocky slopes, high altitude passes, and snow capped mountain tops. It is also home to some of the world's highest villages like Komic and Hikkim. The villages of this valley are rich with an Indo-Tibetan cultural heritage, and historic monasteries. The landscape of Spiti stands in stark contrast to Tirthan Valley, which is full of lush forests and meadows.

    Today, you'll be picked up in Chandigarh and driven to Tirthan Valley. Upon reaching there, you'll check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in hotel at Tirthan Valley.

    For cancellations made more than 45 days prior to the Spiti Valley Road Trip: Full refund.

    For cancellations made 30-44 days prior to the Spiti Valley Road Trip: 50% refund of the deposit.

    For canellations made less than 30 days prior to the Spiti Valley Road Trip: No refund.

    In case of no show: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the tour guide during the Spiti Valley road trip.

    Consumption of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited during the trip. Travellers suspected of intoxication will not be allowed to participate in the trip.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    Spiti Valley is located at an altitude with low internet connectivity and moderate road access/availability of services. Travellers are advised to take such circumstances under consideration before booking this Spiti Valley road trip.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap or accident during the trip.

    The tour operator reserves the right to change or cancel the itinerary of this trip due to bad weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff. Additional costs arising from such a change in the itinerary will be borne by the traveller.
