    This adventure across the Spiti Valley combines trekking to secluded destinations in the valley with a road trip across Spiti's breathaking landscape. After trekking to small villages tucked in the corners of Spiti's rugged terrain, you'll spend the nights in homestays to experience the local lifestyle and tradition. In the morning, you'll begin again and continue trekking across Spiti's barren mountains painted with shades of grey and brown. You'll also visit destinations in valley that are inaccessible via a trek, as you travel in a private, shared vehicle across some of the most breathtaking landscapes in India.

    On this Spiti Valley trek, you'll stay in tents pitched near the famed, crescent-shaped Chandratal Lake, trek to the world's highest post office at Hikkim, visit one of Asia's highest inhabited villages at Kibber and Komic and try your hand at spotting fossils at Langza.

    Destination

    Spiti Valley, located in northern Himachal Pradesh, connects the neighbouring valleys of Lahaul and Tibet. With several important Buddhist monasteries spread all over the valley, it projects an interesting Indo-Tibetan culture. The small villages of the Spiti Valley, tucked away in the folds of imposing mountains, are brimming with hospitable people eager to showcase the beauty of Spiti to travellers from all over the world.

    Your 9-day Spiti Valley trip includes 4 days of trekking to the villages of Komic, Demul, Lhalung and Dhankar. On the remaining days, you'll travel in vehicles to visit Kaza, Langza and Chandratal Lake.

  • Day 1 of the Spiti Valley trek: Arrive at Manali

    Arrive at the government bus stand in Manali by 17:00 hrs. You'll check-in to a hotel in Manali, and attend a short briefing session by the tour guide, with your fellow travellers. Overnight at Manali in hotel rooms.

    Your Spiti valley trek begins as you arrive at the government bus stand in Manalu by 17:00 hrs. You'll be accommodated at Manali in hotel rooms. Today's meal package only includes dinner at the hotel in Manali, but you can visit any of the restuarants in Manali to have additional meals at your own expense.

    For cancellations made 3-6 days before departure of the Spiti Valley trek: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made 0-2 days before departure of the Spiti Valley trek: No refund.

    No show: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting any transaction charges.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to adhere to the instructions of the tour guide during the trek to Spiti Valley.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Consumption of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited during the trip.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    During this trek to Spiti Valley, travellers will visit destinations at altitudes from 9,000 ft to 14,500 ft and may experience altitude sickness.

    Spiti Valley is located at an altitude with no internet connectivity and moderate road access/availability of services. Travellers are advised to take such circumstances under consideration before booking the trip.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap, accident or loss of life during the trip.

    The tour operator reserves the right to change or cancel the itinerary of this trip due to bad weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff.
