The trek to Pin Bhaba pass presents the adventure of a lifetime with a 9-day itinerary in the remote corners of the Pin valley. This offbeat trek leads you into a varied landscape, from the ancient woods of thick oak trees to sprawling fields of snow and ice. As you approach the Pin Bhaba pass, perched at an altitude of over 15,900 feet, you'll get awe-inspiring views of the valley's high-rising snow peaks and rolling hills on the horizon. After a day packed with strenuous climbing on steeply ascending trails, you'll rest for the night in tents, pitched at locations with stunning views of the valley.

The Pin Bhaba pass is a high-altitude mountain pass within the Pin Valley National Park that connects the two valleys of Kinnaur and Spiti. The trek to Pin Bhaba pass is a crossover trek which showcases a dramatic change in the landscape as you travel from one side of the valley to another. From the cold and barren mountains of Spiti, you'll begin the trek and cross the Pin Bhaba pass to enter the vibrant and green forests of Kinnaur. The Pin Bhaba pass trek is one of the few rare treks in Himachal Pradesh that remains accessible even in the months of monsoon.

Move out from the lush, green valleys of Manali and take the rough and curvy roads leading towards Kaza. You'll drive through the famous Rohtang pass, a popular tourist destination near Manali. On the stretch between Gramphu and Losar, incredible views of the mountains await you. Driving past numerous river streams, you'll reach Kaza by late evening. Overnight in a hotel at Kaza.

Drive from Manali to Kaza. You can visit local attractions near Kaza that include the Key monastery, the post office at Hikkim and the fossil village of Langza. You'll be accommodated in a hotel at Kaza. Today's meal plan includes breakfast and dinner only.

In the morning, you'll visit the SDM office in Kaza to complete the paperwork and obtain the necessary permits required for the trek. After a lazy afternoon spent sightseeing at local attractions near Kaza, you'll travel to the village of Mudh, the last village accessible via road in the picturesque Pin valley. Overnight in a home-stay at Mudh.

With a surge of nervous excitement, you'll finally begin the trek with a short and sweet hike to Balder. You'll cross a bridge over the Pin river and take on a series of uphill and downhill climbs until you arrive at the lush green camping grounds of Balder. Overnight in tents at Balder.

As you progress deeper into the valley, the trail begins to get tougher with steeper climbs leading to higher altitudes. The trail is dissected by many river streams, flowing down from the melting glaciers of the Pin valley. Vantage points on the trail bring magical views of the valley, painted with bright shades of green and brown. Today's destination, Mangrungse, is a plush grassland at the base of a tall peak. Day 5 Milestone

Balder

The most awaited day of the trip is finally here. Today, you'll make your way over the Pin Bhaba pass. En route, you'll climb uphill through a largely rocky and barren terrain with sprawling sections of snow and ice layering your route. From the top, take in the vivid views and celebrate your achievement. Soon, you'll begin descending from the other side, rapidly lose altitude till you reach Phustirang. Overnight in tents at Phustirang.

The trek towards the meadows of Mulling is an easy and enjoyable descent, with only one section of river crossing that requires attentive and clever footwork. Make the most of this pleasant day by spending leisure time with relaxing views of the valley. Overnight in tents at Mulling.

On the last day of your Pin Bhaba pass trek, you'll spend a lazy morning and reach Kafnu after a short trek. The trail leads you down through rich forests of deodar and pine. Overnight in a home-stay at Kafnu.

For cancellations made 90 days or more before departure of the Pin Bhaba pass trek: 90% refund.

For cancellations made between 60-89 days before departure of the Pin Bhaba pass trek: 75% refund.

For cancellations made between 30-59 days before departure of the Pin Bhaba pass trek: 25% refund.

For cancellations made less than 30 days before departure of the Pin Bhaba pass trek: no refund.

In case of no show: no refund.

All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

The tour operator reserves the right to alter or cancel the itinerary of the Pin Bhaba pass trek due to any unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather or natural calamities. Travellers will be required to bear any costs arising due to such a change in the itinerary.
