    This 11-day Srinagar-Leh-Manali motorbike odyssey is an unusual and off-beat way to explore the Ladakhi terrain. You'll start off in Srinagar, and ride across some of the most extreme landscapes that the country has to offer. Bikers from around the world come together to camp under the stars, ride through desolate mountains, battle the weather and roads, visit monuments and monasteries. This Srinagar-Leh-Manali motorbiking adventure is one that you'll never forget.

    Please note that price displayed is the per person price for a booking for one motorbike rider and one pillion rider.

    Please note that an additional refundable, security deposit of INR 10,000 per motorbike to be paid before the start of the Leh motorbiking trip.

    Destination

    You'll start your Srinagar-Leh-Manali motorbiking trip in Srinagar, and ride past the historic town of Kargil, the moonscape of Lamayuru, the cold deserts of Nubra, and multi-coloured waters of Pangong Lake. You'll thunder through some of the highest motorable passes and roads in the world, including famous Khardung-La and Tanglang-La. En route, you'll be staying at clean, comfortable guesthouses or hotels, and camping on the banks of rivers, lakes, or in the laps of mountains. As you leave the rocky vistas of Leh and Ladakh behind, Manali welcomes you with pleasant greenery and fruit orchards in bloom.

    Rules on the trip

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    You're required to wear a helmet while riding the motorbike.

    If you leave the group mid-itinerary, for medical reasons or otherwise, you'll need to pay any extra costs involved in transporting your motorbike to the end-point of the trip.

    Any damage to the motorbike and helmet during the tour will be deducted from the security deposit paid at the start of the trip. Any damages over and above the deposit will be borne by the traveller.

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the road captain during this Ladakh motorbiking trip.

    Cancellation policy

    For cancellations made 45 days or more before departure date of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: 75% refund.

    For cancellations made 30-44 days before departure date of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 30 days before departure date of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: no refund.

    In case of no show: no refund.

    All refunds will be paid after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    The tour operator reserves the right to alter or cancel the itinerary of this Ladakh motorbiking trip due to any unforeseen circumstances to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff. Costs arising due to such a change in itinerary are borne by the traveller.

  • Day 1 of motorbiking in Ladakh: Arrive in Srinagar

    Today, you'll arrive in Srinagar, and check-in to your hotel. The day is free for you to acclimatize and get used to the altitude. You should get some rest, drink plenty of water, and go for short walks. If you need to buy any last minute essentials, today is a good day to visit the local marketplace. Overnight in a hotel at Srinagar.

    Day 2 of motorbiking in Ladakh: Srinagar to Kargil

    Take an hour in the morning to test drive your motorbikes in the streets of Srinagar and get comfortable with them. On your first day of motorbiking, you'll be travelling from Srinagar to Kargil, passing through some of the most epic landscapes of barren mountains, painted different shades of grey and brown. You'll ride through Sonmarg, alongside the Indus river, covering about 200 kms today. By evening, you'll arrive at Kargil. Overnight in a hotel at Kargil.

    Day 3 of motorbiking in Ladakh: Kargil to Leh

    Set out from Kargil and ride towards Leh. After a day of practice, you'll begin feeling comfortable on the motorbikes. You'll get to Leh by evening. Overnight in a hotel at Leh.

    Day 4 of motorbiking in Ladakh: Explore Leh

    You'll spend the day at leisure in Leh, acclimatizing to the city's high altitude. You can visit Leh Palace, offering panoramic views of the mountains including Mt. Stok Kangri, and the Shanti Stupa, a famous Buddhist monument with a hilltop statue of the Buddha. Later at night, you can explore the narrow streets of the Leh city and visit any shops, restaurants or other places of attraction. Overnight in a hotel at Leh.

    Day 5 of motorbiking in Ladakh: Leh to Nubra Valley

    Take the national highway heading north from Leh and ride your motorbikes towards the Nubra valley. You'll ride through Khardung-La, the highest motorable road in the world, and into the cold deserts of the Nubra valley. With rolling sand dunes and scree slopes that stretch into the distance, it'll feel like you're the only ones in the world. Overnight in desert camps at Nubra valley.

    Day 6 of motorbiking in Ladakh: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake

    Turn your motorbikes around and ride to the multi-coloured Pangong Lake via the Chang-La pass, at an elevation of 17,590 feet. Spend some time by the lake with sweeping views of the barren, brown Ladakhi landscape. You'll stay in Swiss tents at a campsite besides the lake. as the sun sets, you can watch the lake changing colours between shades of blue and green. The night sky above the lake is heavily decorated by hundreds of twinkling stars. Overnight in tents at the Pangong Lake.

    Day 7 of motorbiking in Ladakh: Pangong Lake to Leh

    It's time to head back towards Leh. En route, you'll ride through the high-altitude mountain pass of Chang-La and the small Tibetan community at the village of Choglamsar. Back at Leh, you can spend the evening at leisure. Overnight in a hotel at Leh.

    Day 8 of motorbiking in Ladakh: Leh to Sarchu

    You'll head out from Leh today, on your way to Sarchu, a major halt point for motorbikers travelling from Ladakh to Himachal Pradesh. En route, you'll ride through more high-altitude mountain passes like the Nakee-La, Lachulung-La and the Tanglang-La. You'll also ride through the More Plains, a rare plateau in Ladakh that is flanked by mountains on either side. It's a long drive today, so pace yourself and enjoy the views. Overnight in tents at Sarchu.

    Day 9 of motorbiking in Ladakh: Sarchu to Manali

    After yesterday's long ride, buckle up for another stretch from Sarchu to Manali. As you inch closer to Manali, you'll notice the dramatic change in scenery, from desolate and high-rising mountains to green forested hills. You'll return your motorbikes in Manali, and celebrate the end of a successful trip. Overnight in tents at Manali.

    Day 10 of motorbiking in Ladakh: Manali to Delhi

    You can spend the day at leisure in Manali, but you'll have to check-out of the campsite in the morning. You can visit the Hadimba Temple, the famous Mall Road or any other place of attraction in Manali. In the evening, you'll board the bus to Delhi. Overnight in transit.

    Day 11 of motorbiking in Ladakh: Arrive in Delhi

    The bus will reach Delhi by 10:00 hrs, subject to traffic conditions. Your trip ends here.
